We put that one to bed in 2011 tbf.

Still scars me that cup run of 91 ending at their place, after hitting the woodwork i don't know how many times for a cnut like Gary Lund to pop up with the winner.
Each tie was away, Burnley, Port Vale and then Notts County.
I went them all and i really thought we were going to emulate the Rags from the year before by winning it after being drawn away in every round.

There have been some weird as hell articles about City in the MEN recently which highlight past controversial incidents the club have been involved in. Now there’s one about the Adebayor celebration. Check out this headline.

The article itself makes a couple of decent points about the abuse Adebayor got but the ‘poisonous’ celebration part kind of detracts from them.

This was the game that Clattenburg booked Adebayor for his celebration and on instruction from the FA later claimed it was for time wasting( despite the whole episode taking only 30 seconds - a normal time for goal celebrations) so he could be charged separately and banned for the celebration itself.

In the same game van Persie screamed "Fuck you!" at a section of City fans including kids but Clattenburg of course took no notice.

As was a non-league Wigan. We struggled until Colin Bell scored the only goal.
