It's horrible to think we've got to watch our football team on platforms like Sky, who we've already seen in the past, are about as clean as shit on a shoe, and BT sports, who actually make Sky look like fairy liquid. I mean BT sport have even gone to the extent of getting a bent ex referee to lie and justify on national TV, decisions that happen during games. That is a new level of low. I stream everything now a days, as I wouldn't even give them my piss if they were dying of thirst in the sahara desert, let alone £100 a month.

After we've endured a barrage of abuse during our televised game, we can then enjoy reading the abuse again afterwards, in many of these so called journalistic tabloids or if we happen to have an outstanding game or win a trophy, we can see the lack of reporting. But, if anything even remotely controversial should happen, i.e the goal against Villa, you can be sure that shite is also plastered all over Facebook and youtube for years to come. I mean people still talk about Sterling tripping over himself in 2017 in a nothing game, or Aguero's offside goal against Swansea in the FA cup. But yet, when Liverpool or Utd win with one of these absolute pathetic dive penalties they seem to get, nothing much is said, or their applauded for clever play. Rant over. Fuck em all.

This was the game that Clattenburg booked Adebayor for his celebration and on instruction from the FA later claimed it was for time wasting( despite the whole episode taking only 30 seconds - a normal time for goal celebrations) so he could be charged separately and banned for the celebration itself.

In the same game van Persie screamed "Fuck you!" at a section of City fans including kids but Clattenburg of course took no notice.
Yeh but that was in the days when the league was bent and refs lied, now the refs just get told what decision to give by a Match Commander.

He wasn't banned for the celebration - his ban was a 3 game one for the stamp only.

By the letter of the law Adebayor didnt nothing wrong that day. He never left the field of play and returned to his own half, allowing Clattenburg to re-start the game. It was a trumped up charge!

Anyone else see the BT ad for the Rags v Brighton game?

Showed the after time penalty then cut to Ole grinning whilst tapping his watch with fergie time written behind him.

Never seen it mate, but then I’m not on here very often.

Right, what happened was, Ade scored a goal( a decent header) against one of his former clubs who had received good money for him. He knew some of their fans from his time there and they liked to partake in a little "banter" with ex players, this had nothing to do with it though. All Ade was worried about is whether they had seen who scored as they were at the other end of the pitch, and took it upon himself to be the bearer of the news, trying to get there before the tannoy announced the scorer, and naively assuming that they would be happy for him.

All in all an innocent mistake, and not worthy of the scrutiny that has ensued, and is still being brought up even to this day. I mean it wouldnt be right to associate the word "revenge" with any goal...........would it.

I remember thinking that even Craig Bellamy seemed to be advising against it.

There have been some weird as hell articles about City in the MEN recently which highlight past controversial incidents the club have been involved in. Now there’s one about the Adebayor celebration. Check out this headline.

The article itself makes a couple of decent points about the abuse Adebayor got but the ‘poisonous’ celebration part kind of detracts from them.
