The only problem for these clowns is that you can’t keep poking the lion without it biting back. As a club we have roared back to life in the face of insurmountable adversity.

The dumb bastards are nothing but a bunch of jealous green eyed wankstains.

Sportwashing my arse.
If we played a Rochdale grooming gang 11 they would still be anti City, playing to the gallery in a nation of jealous morons. Apart from Schalke and maybe Everton fans, everybody else was willing us, Toulouse

A quick look around other fan forums (those outside United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs) shows that the general English football public don't really give a stuff about the Champions League. Like us before we were in it.

All this nonsense about the semi-finals being boring and predictable (both incorrect) are for a specific audience, that audience is more active online than other fan groups as they're generally sad little virgins.

Football journalism in England died a long time ago, it started with the creation of the Premier League and then the final nail in the coffin was when the CL was reformatted and gave birth to the SKY 4.

For all this crap about financial fair play and the death of football. None of them were bothered when Arsenal finished 4th every year but were somehow deemed more valuable to the CL than the actual league champions of Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Belgium etc. All these European countries football clubs being left behind by a select few...now they're being beaten at their own game, they don't like it.

Great clubs like Redstar Belgrade no longer deemed important to European football, the usual suspects have a lot to answer for.

This is genuinely pathetic now. It reads like a Liverpool/United fanzine, and even then I would cringe badly at this sort of shit.

More than anything else it was lazy. His final paragraph reads like it should be where he transitions to his argument about sport washing, whatever it might be. But instead he just stops. It was like, 'hit my word limit, fuck it - send'

He’s so far down the rabbit hole that he’s lost all sense of perspective. Either that or he’s just become a click-bait merchant. Either way it’s a bit degrading and his credibility is shot.
Your posts on this 'pathetic' article, as you put it (and that's 'pathetic' with a capital 'P'), reminds me of one of my favourite film quotations of all time, from 'JFK', when Jim Garrison (Kevin Costner) says 'We are through the looking glass here people.. what's white is black and what's black is white..'

So-called 'journalists' like Wilson live in an 'other' world to the rest of us..

Errrrrrrr really ?
Factually correct

Starting to see a shift in attitudes from neutral/rival fans on the whole sportswashing thing.

Ignoring the article the comments on this thread are mainly sensible. Still a few digs and shit “Abu Derby” jokes but the majority are talking sense.

A few examples
Cool so when can we start labeling Sheffield United as the reason the game is gone
Can someone point me to an article that shows the actual owners of the clubs doing some fucked up shit..??
No one had any issues in the previous seasons when these "evil" people were funding the clubs with lack of success in UCL.. People even made fun of both clubs that they spent all that oil money and still haven't managed to win a champions league..Now that they are actually closer to that goal, those people shouldn't pull a surprised Pikachu face..

And both parties acquired the clubs legally and have funded them legally.. I dont see why this should be a problem..

Every country has done enough crimes against human rights in the past that its not even funny.. Maybe we should just dissolve the sports and call it a day..
jonathan wilson complaining about how the games gone for the 50th time, yawn.
Honestly if you want so support a club that has. O ties with dirty regimes / companies, you probably have to go to 2nd division level, and in England you'll probably have to go lower.

Football has beens corrupted a long time ago, and pretty much every established club is dipping in the sauce

He knows fuck all about football.
None of them do
At half time they were discussing us trying to score but under no circumstances leave ourselves open for dortmund to score.
In theory if dortmund scored again we still only needed to score one to stay in the tie and take it to extra time. So there logic was straight out of the window
