All this talk of sport washing it's been going on for years. In the uk we have utd and liverpool rammed down our throats every single fucking day. Utd this liverpool that. The uk press/media have been involved in sports washing for decades.
Unless it involves liverpool fans misbehaving than its ignored didnt happen.

Maybe it’s time we owned the whole sports washing agenda, I know it’s an invented term for anyone who challenged the establishment with bigger pockets, but as a fan base we are well known for our wit & self deprecation, I know some do already, but as a collective we could really do with upping our game, let’s follow Peps lead of absolute sarcasm, or alternatively the author of the above article Ste Tudor, I took great pleasure in reading how he sees it all for what it is and has arrived at a somewhat serene peace with it all, wether it’s the comments section of the bbc or a rag tabloid, Twitter, on here or down the pub, let’s all sing off the same hymn sheet, let’s get back to doing it the City way, this forum makes me laugh every single time I log on & I’d love nothing better than to see our fans bating the gutter press & twiterati with being the greatest Sportswashers in history & returning on here to display their prize!
