I wonder if the Poogba piccy in the paper this morning holding a Palestinian flag is for Uncle Joel's benefit, or doesn't he realise that the owner and his employer sits on t'other side of the fence.
Surely it's a political statement - he'll be in trouble with uefa now! Or perhaps not

No. There were two players who have done the same and it was reported that the FArce would be taking no action - unlike the ribbon that Pep wore for Catalunya. Just another example of the double or triple standards employed by the governing body. I think Pep got fined - the least the FA should do is give him his money back.

Wasn't it UEFA that sanctioned him?

There's a fine line here. The FA take no action on national flags being branded because a national flag on its own isn't political. Pep's ribbon is a political statement not a national flag.....if Catalunya gets independence then I'm sure Pep will be allowed to wave the flag all he likes (until the fuckers change the rules)

I see Sky are trailing yet another new documentary/90-minute propaganda hagiography about the odd lot called ‘The u****** way. Somehow doubt it will include footage of their many historical sugar daddies bankrolling the club, evicting the Munich widows, poisoning the schoolchildren of Manchester for profit or peeping under the doors of ladies’ conveniences.
I'm sure they'll mention them being gifted O.T. without paying a penny towards its construction, James Gibson handing out brown envelopes to ensure that the rubble clearance and rebuilding after WW2 was paid out of public funds at a time when the austerity ridden UK was virtually bankrupt or the freebie cantilever stand they were gifted for the 1966 World Cup.

You can guarantee that if the foul had been committed by Gundogan and a Brighton player rather than Jesus was denied that penalty, then it would be stinking the back pages out today. Brighton's shithouse tactics in a meaningless game and the lack of protection by officials is something we should never forgive or forget. Some decisions seem blatantly corrupt and they mainly go against those teams who don't play in red tops. It needs investigating or it will destroy the game.
Those 5 big game changing decisions all go City’s way ( I know I know) and the House of Lords is debating it today
