Can’t agree the commentary was good, ignoring the digs about cost of our players, the guy just spurts out numbers and facts about players based on when they touch the ball he is not a Barry Davis who used silence as effectively as his words Darke drones on and competes with boring Hoddle for the most annoying voice.

I maintain that to the best of my knowledge, Ian Cheeseman was sacked by the BBC for calling out the official in that Chelsea game where he called it basically corrupt and the worst officiating he’d ever seen. That was the final game he commentated on. (It was corrupt, multiple red card fouls on us completely ignored and then brandished 2 reds for us as soon as we finally broke and reacted to them at the end).

I still listen to GMR, as I won’t even pay a penny to sky, but now they sound like any other national channel. Constant negativity. The other day our opponent were on the attack and their main commentator was practically jizzing as he screamed ‘we’re going to go to Bolton in a moment but *** are on the attack here!!!’ Sounded like he was a about to cream himself. BBC done their job on us at every level now, sad bitter cunts.
