The fact that our media department will let a story like this creep through social media, but they’ve put out trivial statements of denial about wanting Messi in the past, what the fuck are we really, actually doing?

Have we not learnt about these guerrilla tactics yet? Repeat the lie, until it becomes the truth.

Like we all knew the truth about FFP, the media, rival’s colluding... I think we all know that our own handling of these matters is a fucking joke. And before anyone says ‘don’t give credence to little nob jockeys on Twitter’ I’ll quote an old proverb...

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the message was lost.
For want of a message the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.
Spot-on. This latest Walker story appears to be a clear fake news story which has been allowed to gain traction. It should have been shut down at the earliest possible stage. That is how professional modern Comms operations work. Not issuing an early denial allows the idiots to fill the vacuum.
To ignore something because it is on social media is an absurd strategy. Many social media channels have much bigger audiences than established broadcasters. We need to get into the 21st Century..whether we like it or not. A strong denial kills this story stone dead. No reaction gives it credibility.

Lol at the Daily United.

Harry Kane to City for £90mill.

Last Summer it was Harry Kane to United for £200mill.

Seriously. Have these Hacks got now shame about stealing living by continually making up fake and untrue stories?
They have none.

So if it not true why does the club not squash it now before it grows and the whole of the media be reporting it?

Or is it the blog articles would still happen but the main stream won’t publish it it will just grow in Sofia media and add another narrative negative to Man City.

Don’t think the people with the power at city don’t understand social media!
Perhaps it is you that doesn't understand social media. If City issue any kind of statement the main stream media would then be able to publish the story, it would be slanted, after passing through the lawyers, in a way to make Walker sound guilty even though he was in Manchester throughout. Idiots with a keyboard will in this day and age spew any old shite out, (look at Trump on Twitter) By posting it on here we are just giving it life instead of letting it die a quick quiet death.

Shouldn't the 'article' be written post the accusations being proven that the gathering took place and that Walker was the instigator?

If proven to be true then Walker is fair game.

At present, all we have is someone sharing some thoughts about unsubstantiated hear say - what the f#ck has happened to so called journalism?
Welsby is an Evertonian, anyone think they aren't trying to stir it up and get a cheap three points? No sympathy from that club towards the players affected and the abuse caused online is horrendous, Everton and the social media rats attacking the club should be ashamed.

Yep - social media reaches millions... some Youtube channels get far more views that television shows or movies for each uploaded video – it cannot be stressed how important it is to get a grip on it... as much as I hate the Rags, they recognised in 1992 what the PL would mean in terms of TV and sponsorship revenues exploding due to the global reach Sky offered – they exploited that to their gain from day one, like no-one else did – and it would seem they're very savvy when it comes to Social Media too... and regardless of what anyone thinks of Twitter or Youtube etc. etc. etc., a club like us has more than embrace it, we actively have to use it as a propaganda tool to project a positive image.
