So, no, you can't name a single Bluemoon acceptable journalist.

Well I perceive you to have absurd standards around journalists that don't let them say anything negative about City ever, or they're biased against the club. Don’t disagree, work on why & manage it.

whats a blue moon journalist?

you are so quick to defend you aren’t reading I’m happy for criticism.

Someone like Steve Tudor or Dave Mooney would be good for the Athletic gig. Though I’m not altogether sure how secure it would be and how much longer their UK operation will be going given the fact they are already haemorrhaging subscribers and offering fire sale discounts

I'm (obviously) a City fan who used to write for The Times about football. The football editor who hired me used to send me to City matches, write pre-season previews and end-of-season reviews. He also sent me to report on the last match at Maine Road. But then Tony Fucking Evans turned up as football editor and that was me scuppered.

Yikes.

Whenever Tony Evans is mentioned I'm reminded of him on the Times Football Podcast in December of 2015 laughing out loud at the prospect that Pep was headed to City. I do believe that his exact words were "why would he go there? he likes clubs with history".

I was going to say Tudor, not read anything from Mooney.

That’s fine & if it was important to me in my career I’d work hard on changing your perception of me as it happens it’s not so I don’t give a fck ;)

lol!

Ive explained enough times my problem with Sam’s comments & it’s not being critical it’s about him not being fair & balanced, particularly FFP & the CAS hearing. Not just me but lots have felt that so whilst Sam & his mates say we are wrong. Take a Fcking moment & consider it.

From what I can gather, the specific criticism of Sam is that he handled the FFP/CAS story very badly (you can apply whatever adjective you want there). I've already said that I agree with that and that I think it extends to the Athletic as a whole.

However I'm yet to see any other actual concrete example of Sam writing something hostile or bad about the club. People seem to dislike his manner on Twitter, but then having seen the amount of abuse he takes from faceless accounts, I completely understand why he'll dismiss certain people or certain claims of bias.

This highlights the problem, being a blue is now a sackable offence

Rashford (as sickly as the coverage is) doesn't deserve the hate in this thread. He got out there and helped out and he's doing a good thing for poor people who don't have enough food. I quite like that it took a lad from Wythenshawe to highlight the issues.
I save the vitriol for Ashton and Rashfords PR team using a national crisis to heighten his social media influence.
