But the strange thing is the likes of Custis and Jackson are not rags. They have just morphed into rags after reporting on them for a while as they know that’s what is best for their careers.

The biggest problem The Athletic has with their set up is that the likes of Mitten Pearce Hughes don’t think twice of writing snide comments in pieces about City. We get a rag that blocks any City fans that mention its not right that a Utd fan should be the sole reporter on The Athletic.

This place might mock James Pearce et al, but it's pretty clear from the absolute vitriol every single journalist in the country gets on here that actually, a sycophant who never entertains a bad word about the club is exactly what they want.

There is literally not a single journalist in the sport that has not been attacked in this thread or its predecessors for being biased against us or having some unnamed ulterior motive. Maybe Martin Samuel because he only comments once a year and is anti FFP.

Absolutely not & if that’s what you believe after reading the comments criticising certain journalists, you have missed the point.

Well what he has had for sure is a similar level of sneering hate on opposition message boards for trying to bring serious issues into the media.

Personally I think if you remove Rashford's name, and swap it for Sterling, you'll find identical posts on Rag Cafe or RAWK moaning about everything being a PR stunt and him trying to raise his personal profile.
Yep, liverpool fans call him PRaheem

It is. You say you want a fair and balanced journalist but the first time they say something negative they get branded enemies of the state, which is why there's not a single Bluemoon approved journo in the country.

I understand your point of view but I don't necessarily agree. As you say, those parents who won't engage with the idea of catching their own fish, won't do it. You can't force them.

So the conversation becomes about punishing the children as the parents clearly don't give a fuck. That doesn't sit comfortably with me, but maybe I'm being too simplistic or overly empathetic.
You're right, no child should go hungry and it's outrageous imo that we're having this conversation in 2020 in the 5th richest country in the world.

There are numerous charities staffed with volunteers that do a lot of work and my point is that this is out there now and unless the government starts forcing certain individuals to catch their own fish, we will still be having this conversation in 10,20,30 or 40 years time as their kids grow up and produce kids of their own and I can't see how the daily BBC Rashford wankfest changes this in any way.

Perversely, this may lead to even less government intervention, particularly a right leaning government ( not that I'm particularly politically either way) if they are aware that there are people out there that will ensure kids don't go hungry, they will quite happily sit on their arses scoffing expensive grub in Westminster funded by the taxpayer abdicating their responsibilities knowing full well that thousands of volunteers will be picking this up.

Haha. I see what you did there.

Personally I'd love an agenda-less, normal, City supporter who can write well.
I'm (obviously) a City fan who used to write for The Times about football. The football editor who hired me used to send me to City matches, write pre-season previews and end-of-season reviews. He also sent me to report on the last match at Maine Road. But then Tony Fucking Evans turned up as football editor and that was me scuppered.

I wrote a few pages ago I liked Paul Hince & I think he got banned from City with his criticism.

Ive explained enough times my problem with Sam’s comments & it’s not being critical it’s about him not being fair & balanced, particularly FFP & the CAS hearing. Not just me but lots have felt that so whilst Sam & his mates say we are wrong. Take a Fcking moment & consider it.

when I was making my way in my career, someone told me to manage your perception, if someone perceives a fact about you then that’s what you are, don’t disagree, work on why & manage it.

So, no, you can't name a single Bluemoon acceptable journalist.

if someone perceives a fact about you then that’s what you are

Well I perceive you to have absurd standards around journalists that don't let them say anything negative about City ever, or they're biased against the club. Don’t disagree, work on why & manage it.
