I get why it generated a lot of discussion, felt
too much like the same phase of play to me that I’d have been annoyed about it. Ultimately though, that’s the law. That type of scenario really doesn’t happen very often too.

Yeah he was. The laws of the game are actually quite complex as the game is so fluid and there are loads of scenarios in play. Not quite as bad as golf tho!

Watched the BT coverage tonight.
Think it obviously showed bias, but more worringly, the failure to know the rules of the game from McPointy, The Red Plug and Peter fecking Walton.
Walton did backtrack a bit when he was forced to read out the actual law, hut seemed very unhappy about it.
A shame they weren't allowed to fester for longer, but the Trafford Tinkers match took priority which seemed odd as BT usually have 2 seperate footy channels...

Tonight we were watching MUTV/LFCTV on BT Sports, so it had to be on just the one channel to cater for them.

If someone like Fernandes had done what Rodri did then you just know that the pundits would be waxing lyrical about how intelligent the player was for waiting to go for the ball until Mings "controlled" it. Their bias is so obvious.

Known is just a pure ****. I've just watched MOTD and he's crying about our first goal like a baby. Even when it's clearly pointed out to him that Rodri had done nothing wrong and by Mings playing the ball that makes Rodri onside he still won't stop crying. He then goes on about not being in the spirit of the game or some such bullshit. That really pissed me off as it's implying we somehow did something underhand or cheated, well we didn't monkey face! No mention of how good a strike it was and Bernardo still having a lot to do. The penalty was nailed on too. The lad raised his hands to clearly block Jesus's header, hands up high in an unnatural position to block the ball. They can all fuck off, I hope we win every trophy this year and have them crying all close season.

Exactly, they might not like it, or understand it, but it's written in the laws of the game at the moment. Once they know that it ends all argument or discussion, or it should do. Oh no though they have to make out we've got away with one, or cheated, when we clearly haven't.
