There are currently almost 3,000 comments on the BBC dipper vs wba match report, whereas there are less than 500 on our match report against Newcastle.

Hence click bait.

That’s other fans taking the pi** out of the Dippers. And the Coach Wreckers trying to hit back. I left 3 different pi**-take comments myself. ;-)

Even though we’re hated by the PL cartel clubs fans, LiVARpool and their Coach Wrecking fans are hated even more.

If you follow the Dipper article comments in the Daily United, most of their fans commenting are from other parts of the country, and from abroad, and not from Liverpool, bar the odd few.

It starts with an I and ends in a (shi)T.

Are City still stuttering?

Emerging Joao Cancelo offers stuttering Man City much-needed fresh impetus from deep

We've drawn a few more games that we really should have won, but I wouldn't say two losses out of the last twenty is stuttering too badly.

The recent articles on Foden being supposedly unsettled are quite interesting. The headlines - and hence the click bait - are along the lines of 'Foden frustrated at lack of game time' or 'Real Madrid monitoring Foden situation'. I'm sure the lad is frustrated to an extent....all hard working, professional players want to start as often as they can, he is no exception. The statement about Real Madrid - if taken literally - is also true, they will 'monitor' the situation, but so what? They monitor dozens of situations but won't do anything about it.

The real story - and one they don't put in the headline because it's actually quite boring and gains no clicks - is that Phil, while probably wanting more game time, has justifiably committed himself long term to City in order to evolve his game and has a great relationship with Pep. He knows he still has a lot to learn, Pep will teach him and knows he will become integral to this team. There is no issue or story to be honest....despite what the media are saying. It's a slow news day. It's a non-story. He's going nowhere.

BBC lead story Messi wants to play in US, strangely no speculative association made with our global branding, it must make them choke. Could you imagine if other clubs had anything like our CFG structuring they would be on the biggest wankfest of the NewYear.

To be fair, in the context of that article, yes, and Guardiola would say exactly the same.

Our attack is stuttering compared to how it has been previously. Cancelo being the attacking threat he was did give us much better options than we’ve had recently.

Part of that will also be the expectations we’ve set of how good (and how productive) our attacking play has been and can be. I don’t really see that as being any less critical, and the article itself is actually more positive, than plenty of things I’ve read on here though.

I read that and thought well BBC what about the CFC group being able to offer Messi 2 seasons in the premiership than a move to the USA. Surprised BBC didnt mention that as a possibility, I mean it's a strong possibility.

They are pandering to a certain online readership they’ll hardly want to even think this never mind popping the idea online for thousands to read ..

Durham on Talkshite bugging us up and especially John Stones. Didn’t realise the only goals concealed when Stones has started have been at Wolves.

It headline doesn’t say Manchester City’s ‘attack is stuttering’.

It say’s stuttering Manchester City.

Are Liverpool stuttering? 3 wins and 2 draws. Top of the table.
Are United stuttering? 3 wins and 2 draws. Title contenders (apparently)
City. 3 wins and 2 draws. Stuttering.
Only Everton better City’s last 5 results.

Did he express a liking for any particular city? The Big Apple perhaps?

No, that’s why I said the context in the article makes it clear.

I take the point that it doesn’t have attack in the headline but then it doesn’t have form or results either. I doubt there’ll be many consuming articles from the independent that wouldn’t also read the article itself.
