ITV news at ten, interview with Lampard on about players hugging, cuts to a scene of our players hugging after a goal, no other teams do it obviously. Fucking wankstains.

Thing is, when most football fans think "goal", they automatically think "City". So, on this occasion I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Looks like something has happened at the DM? All the stories about COVID, hugging, football etc have had our picture omitted and now several other teams have been included with the rags highlighted. Definitely a change for the better.

Nothing on the front page of bbc either

Example of Formulaeic Talkshite show format implemented at least twice today (when I tuned in) .

Talk some balls ideally with a provocative point of view
Talk some more balls from an opposite point of view
Talk balls about Youth football
For no reason, talk some balls about Manchester City....
Talkshite presenter:"If you had a choice of clubs to send your san.. you'd want to see if there's a paaathway for your san to the first team rather than Manchester City ."
Guest (smugly and sanctimoniously) : "Yes, bat clabs like Southampton and my old clab Leicester offer a paathway to the first team."

(in a season where Academy graduates Cole Palmer, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Felix Nmecha have gained valuable 1st team experience and Phil Foden continues to develop at a pace in all competitions)

Never mind the truth, eh.

Introduce the subject.
Identify "the problem". Who can we find?
Manchester City.
Look for a negative that isn't there.
Snipe at Manchester City (the bad guys).
Sanctimoniously present other clubs as better (the good guys).
Job done.

So that's:
Bad guys (Manchester City)
Good guys (Everyone else)
I wonder if the guests son knows his dad doesn't think he's good enough to make it at a top club?

According to the report, the father himself is saying it was a fake job....that he did not do anything for the payments.

He says he did attend a 2 day training course but that it was in english and he didn't understand any if it

Sounds like sour grapes to me, where is his lad now ? Still with us or not?

Anyone know
Sounds like the government's track and trace recruitment policy

Just reading Lawro's predictions who what seems like every other week as a guest on who uses 'We' about the rags however, I digress.....this is a Lawro comment about a disallowed Spurs goal, I don't remember the incident but I've never seen that style of writing about us.

I remember the last time these two teams met in the summer, when Harry Kane had a goal ruled out by VAR because of an inadvertent handball by Lucas Moura, who had the ball kicked against his arm after he was tripped.

Giggs signed for the rags because while City were dealing with his dad, the rags bought and had a full kitchen fitted for his mum and that swung the signing of Ryan Wilson of Swinton. All parts United s rich istree
No way Swales would have signed off a full kitchen refit as a counter offer. Probably offered her a Rediffusion telly instead

No worries mate,
We got notification today from the DfE that we can reset our Edenred log in however it's too late for us to use it for the first two weeks as we've had to source vouchers from the big, local supermarket.
Only a minor inconvenience as it reduces choice for our families (you can pick from a choice of supermarkets using Edenred and you are limited to buying products that will only be sold to anyone under 16) but it's another obvious thing that could have been sorted earlier.

Seriously though ,why do you put yourself through the torture of watching BBC News?
It's common knowledge that Media City is full of Rags who are incapable of following their own charters.
The cretins at Media City probably dared each other for a bet to see if they could put together the piece about The Etihad without mentioning us and were high fiving each other during the broadcast

Compare and contrast our publically funded broadcaster with an independent report I heard last night on TV which started;
"The footballer Marcus Rashford was amongst several people who has criticised some of the food parcels distributed to families as a replacement for FSM"
Followed by a factually accurate piece about some of the poor meal packages distributed.
A great piece that covered the salient points and was factually correct.

Contrast with the BBC version which based on previous reporting I have seen would have been something like:
"Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford has criticised the quality of some of the food parcels provided as a substitute for FSM.
The Manchester United footballer who can be seen here scoring for Manchester United against PSG took to Twitter and said..."

Who actually regulates the BBC?
They're going downhill faster than Franz Clammer and the standard of reporting and quality of their output is getting worse.

From Roan keeping his job after sneering at the recently deceased Leicester City owner at the side of the smouldering wreckage of his helicopter to Stone promoting Tag Heuer watches whilst being paid by the licence payer to report on a club tour and the arrogant, pathetic wriggling during the Pete the Badge incident when several posters on here called them out for basically bullying a vulnerable person.

If they were a commercial organisation they can report how they like but it boils my piss at having to pay a license fee to pay for this shite even if I never watch anything on the BBC.
Thanks for that but l am still unclear who makes the decision for vouchers or ingredients and chooses the supplier for the food packs - heads of schools or the education or even finance departments at local authorities?
ÒBBC Breakfast has already mentioned Rashford several times in an article about fsm although he is just a small part of a large group of people who are pushing the government on meals and they comprise 'celebrity cooks' including Jamie Oliver, an old hand on decent school meals and many charities who obviously know their subject.
The very next thing in the leading BBC stories was the GPC and Dalgleish involved in something to do with heading the ball and dementia with Klopp also involved with Southgate presumably just there to create an illusion everything isn't about red shirts.
Why the BBC? That's another story after l've had a root around on here.

Below is on the BBC sport now regarding the ban of Kieran Trippier. and here's me thinking he was most recently a Spurs player. They just can't resist can they? :

Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier will continue to serve a 10-week ban in England after the Football Association failed to push back his suspension for betting breaches.

Tripper is still allowed to play for La Liga leaders Atletico in Spain because they have challenged the validity of the ban with world governing body Fifa.
Atletico contest the FA's right to ban a player not active in its league.

Trippier's ban in England started on 21 December and runs to 28 February.

The 30-year-old England international was suspended and fined £70,000 by the FA after being found to have broken betting rules.

Trippier told a friend to "lump on" over his 2019 move from Tottenham Hotspur to Atletico Madrid, according to English football's governing body.

Following a request from the FA, Fifa extended the ban worldwide.

Atletico appealed against the Fifa suspension and it was provisionally lifted pending a decision.

The former Manchester City and Burnley defender played the full 90 minutes as Atletico beat Sevilla on Tuesday, extending their advantage over neighbours Real Madrid at the top of the Spanish top-flight table to four points.
Is that the same bloke who never played a single game for City?
I've never played for City either. Will l get a mention?

BBC (United) News, Mediacity this morming showing pictures of PL players celebrating together. City were first from the Brighton game. Then another 2 teams. No picture of United celebrating together at Burnley.

As I don't watch BBC Breakfast Thursday to Saturday due that Munchetty woman spouting her shit I try and watch ITV. However this morning even they are hard to stomach with St Marcus being elevated even higher in the nation's hearts as the saviour of our starving children and then going into overdrive about this run of the mill game on Sunday between the Dippers and Rags....had to flick over when the "Legends" Spitty and Ratboy appeared to give us their unbiased insight!

GMB showed Villa players first, then Everton, and then ours. Ours was on the screen about 2 seconds longer than the others.

It was Mourinho wot did it! Well, according to St Marcus it was. But we all know that the propensity to hit the turf with either no contact or the slightest contact that wouldn't move a piece of tissue paper a millimetre has been a staple to many a Rag team down to the beginning of the PL. Old Mother Riley and Howie Redshirt were doling out pens to the home team at the Swamp far in excess of the Queen lobbing out gongs on her birthday. Interesting though, whether it is St Marcus himself or the third rate hack from the RDAHMeedya who came up with the phrase that it was Mourinho who trained them to be more 'canny in the box'. Had the piece about the Rags been about City yer could bet yer bottom dollar that the word 'canny' would be replaced with the phrase 'blatant cheating'! And that's what it was and is - Rags hitting the turf with refs and VAR judging their 'tumbles' as pens and the rest of the league being treated to what Crappenberg laughingly described as a 'coming together' whenever a useless Rag defender (Andersen on Micah comes to mind) committed a penal offence in their area. The game is rife with cheats. We've known it for decades. Nothing new. And the refs and the FArce will continue to react on the cheating that goes on as they have, strenuously, tirelessly, and admirably since the PL began - just as soon as they've checked the colour of the shirt and the club badge thereon!

To be perfectly honest mate I'm not sure who makes the decision around suppliers for food packs; i.e; whether there are a list of approved suppliers or not and if so, who approves them.
My understanding is that there is government guidance on what food packs should and should not contain although I haven't looked into it myself as we've not gone down that route.

From what I can see, these packs that have used by Primary Schools and like Secondary Schools, some are controlled by the Local Authority and some (like mine) are controlled by the Governing Board of the School.
In Secondary, we're being told to make the call on the best way forward individually as a school (basically the Senior Leadership Team) so I would imagine it's the same guidance in the Primary Sector.

For vouchers, the individual schools have made that call as to whether to go down this path, so I would imagine this is the case with the schools that have chosen food parcels.
It was obvious what was going to happen when you give a private company £15 and ask them to put a pack together that you're going to get nowhere near £15 worth of food.

Seriously though mate, watching the BBC News isn't good for you.
ITV mentioned the school meals review this morning, they did a good job and managed not to turn it into a Rag arse licking session.
They mentioned England Footballer Marcus Rashford and that he was one of numerous high profile people putting pressure on the government which is how it should be reported IMHO.

I dumped the BBC morning news programme months ago, it has long been just a giggle fest for them. I had enough of them talking over guests immediately after asking a question to prove what top notch journalists they were.

I switched to Sky News which has the advantage that sport isn't covered in great detail as they save that for their Sports News channel. It reduces any potential for rag or dipper arse licking to a minimum, I can't remember the last time they mentioned Rashford actually (I fully support what he's doing though).

I didn't think about Sky News in the morning and usually watch ITV.
I've stayed away from all things Sky for a while as I'm sick of the way they've reported on us but might check the news out.
My missus can't stand Piers Morgan but I've tolerated him as anything is better than the BBC IMO.
I support what Rashford is doing too, my issue is the way the BBC try to spin it into free publicity for the Rags which simultaneously dilutes the actual story.
