Its just a matter of difference in business model. Rags, Dippers and ourselves have more or less the same turnover. We spend ours on players. Our players wage bill is about the same as theirs, but individually, our players earn somewhat less than at those clubs. We spread the wages amongst a deeper squad i.e. higher quality 'second string'.
We achieve this by avoiding very expensive galacticos. Compare cost and ages: e.g. Dias vs VVD, Slabhead: all our midfielders vs Pogbad: Eddie vs Alison, De Gea etc etc. Think of all the players we have bypassed as being too expensive: Alexis, Koulibali, Fred, Slabhead etc. I would wager we will not pursue Haarland unless both his agent and Dortmund demand sensible terms.
Secondly, we are not saddled with greedy owners or enormous debt interest as rags are. Not sure about Dippers current situation but you can be sure their owners will want their pound of flesh rather than a deeper squad.
It has been our policy for many years now to buy young, apply the very best in coaching and build a deep squad by improving good players to be excellent. In this compressed season, our enhanced ability to rotate is sending the dippers crying into their beer on the treatment table.
Pep's successor will need a proven track record of coaching younger players up the ranks.
If you look at the American model, they've spent a fortune to get them back to the top table, realised for all the investment in players and officials it's only got them a token title behind closed doors and they'd have to spend it all again just to compete again. With the reports of guaranteed entry into the CL they have no reason to invest to qualify for Europe so really they just need to follow the Rags branding model and pick up the odd trophy and they're sorted, why put anymore money into it when they can take it out in true American style?

I was amazed Klopp started the same XI yesterday as he did midweek. Talk about running your players into the ground. Injuries at the back yes but he never seems to give the front three a rest either.
The loaning out of Minamino still baffles me. Is there more to that than meets the eye ?

That's correct mate. 7 years self sufficient and in profit and still Delooney tweeted the other day that we have the benefit of Abu Dhabi's billions. Yet the agenda and perception have been set so that if you try and correct an ignorant and deluded rag, dipper, etc. they simply call BS.
Cite CAS, who said there is not the slightest piece of evidence that MCFC's accounts are not a true and fair record.

Perhaps the front three are very tired. That could explain why they keep having to lie down.

As a simple brained man I don't understand. Liverpool's income has been close overall to City's for the last 3 plus years. And not far behind in the previous 3 years. Like City, they can only spend what they earn due to FFP. Therefore we do not have more resources surely?
Spot on. If you really are a simple-brained man then you're still a lot brighter than most of them.

Well that was true, shame they have to just drop one shit bit in lol
I came across a website article earlier after Pep had expressed puzzlement at referees' decisions after we had beaten Burnley 4 years ago.
It seems that the media took an opposite view which he found perplexing and he thought there was more than incompetence and inconsistencies.
Subsequently he had an interview with NBC, 22 minutes long which was described generally as excellent but the good old British media every one, misquoted and twisted his words to enable themselves to have a go at him.
It's gone on ever since but this article was optimistic that VAR would improve things as it would mean the things that officials missed would be seen and rectified by the camera officials. Some bloody hope.

Thank you but what a disgusting idea, I would have zero interest if we ever ended up with a euro league and for me this would be a forerunner for such an event.
This one presumably although the last post was Dec last year.

Again what records did liverpool break last season ? Keep reading this but I cant remember breaking any records apart from their own club records.

Cant play football in a heavy wind ! Fuck me he should try over local football at the local rec's. Sometimes you cant even get the goal kick out of the penalty box ! Is that why the rule was changed this season ;)
Don’t let the truth get in the way of the myth.

It's not as if anyone could have been possibly unaware that Liverpool have had an injured defender after months of mourning, the BBC even giving VVD two mentions and clips in a edited highlights programme.
Piss poor from an educated and formally trained journalist.
Henry Winter saying the Ake can not get in City’s side is like saying VVD cant get in Liverpool’s side this season. It must have passed him by that he has been injured.
