I’ve been thinking over the last couple of days and wondering which of the many threads that have come out of this to post this in.

@Magicpole very good response regarding respect from other supporters because of what City supporters essentially made the club do. i.e. the right thing.
It got me thinking that , Yes City and Chelsea supporters too, should get some credit in all of this.
Not the Red tops media set including the pundits like Carragher and Neville (although I don’t doubt their sincerity).
I think supporters of the rest of the league who are clapping themselves on the back saying we all came together and showed together that they can’t take our game from us, need to take a long hard look at themselves and their own clubs and examine what part they have played in facilitating these three clubs in particular over the last decade in particular.
We could start with the clubs that signed that letter trying to have us banned before trial. A trial that exonerated us. But the whole of the league needs to look at themselves.
We know the media have their sycophants that will always paint certain clubs as above reproach and will spin the blame on us and oil money, even now.
Sure we deserve our part of the blame for our part in this debacle, but the real story here should be... Why did this happen. Who is behind it. And Why.
The fact is, the real evil in the game has been thoroughly exposed. There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind now, where the real threat to football as we know it lies.
But mark my words you will see the same tripe being spewed out in the media in the not too distant future. It’s started already. They are trying to make out that the fans of these red top clubs including players and ex-players, are the saviours.
Where were they for the past twelve years when the only people telling the truth about what was going on and what City were trying to break into, was City and the City supporters. Where were they when FFP rules were changed originally to allow this kind of debt.
Then changed again to ensure we failed after we had submitted our accounts. Then the whole email scandal years later again which forced us to go to CAS because this cartel had so much influence in UEFA that we knew, yes knew, that we would not get a fair hearing.
Nobody, possibly with the exception of Martin Samuel, called it straight.
And the support not only from these red tops, lapped it up.
As Samuels said, we hadn’t a friend in football before this, so the fallout can’t be a whole lot worse.
I’m rambling, but my main point is these other clubs gladly let this happen for decades. You had managers for a couple of decades almost that would roll over and have their bellies tickled by Ferguson.
We weren’t invited into this SL by choice. It was necessity on their part to get six English teams. We definitely brought it down, although I don’t go along with this master plan theory. I don’t think it was a total fuck up either.
I think the timing of it being launched speaks volumes with the end of season we have coming.
We made our decision on what we thought was best and have to live with that, but ultimately we have exposed to anyone who is willing to look at it unbiasedly what is really going on in the game.
And there are a lot of changes needed. And that starts with UEFA.
Watch the usual suspects try and rehabilitate the reputations of the usual Rags/Scouse and we will still somehow be the villain.
I won’t have any credence in any of them until they rid themselves of this American led cabal who are the real enemies of football.
As for Perez and Madrid and the likes. Don’t get me started.
