There is a spectrum but the Guardian is at the extreme end of it by virtue of their brand of methodist politics. There are some things that are incompatible. To use your words, their political affiliation drives their current stance against 'Emirati' Manchester City whereas for most of the rest, their position is pragmatic.So what you object to is not their coverage of City, which is no better and no worse that that of the mail, the Express or the Sun, but it’s political affiliation?
