The guy who sits next to me in the East Stand often points out that the routine examples of instant ball control and playing out of tight corners we see from City nowadays would have had everyone in the ground on their feet gasping and applauding even 15 years ago. Now such a stunning level of technical brilliance is commonplace. Rarified air indeed.
That's why I find it so frustrating that.the footballing skills somehow don't continue to passing the ball into the opponents net.
Pep must be so tired of shots that simply miss the target at the same time as applauding the way the chances are generated.

It will come. There will be a game when we absolutely hammer someone.

That dodgy tv deal that carved up more money for the top six back when the premier league was formed and a one team from each country champions league gave him a head start. Add to that United spent some eye watering amounts of money on the likes of Pallister, Webb, Wallace and Ince to build a new team.

If you look at United’s dominance it seems to tail off when other teams like Arsenal, Chelsea and City catch up. He knew the game was up back in 2012, didn’t want his legacy tainting by being also rans to City.
If I recall the money to buy Ince, Pallister etc. came via a stock exchange flotation, basically outside equity investment.
That plus the 2 sugar daddies that saved them from extinction twice in their rancid history.

Thick plastic Rags always make me piss when they bang on about "generating their own money" and "earned not bought" and I never tire of putting them straight when they start talking bollocks.

Daily United.

On the Weekend City could win the PL title, there is nothing about our match against Palace. Everything else. United, Liverpool, Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid, fake transfer stories, cricket, etc. Only when you scroll, scroll down the main page is there an article about Dias, and how good he has been this season.

I don’t think rags followed the club when Micheal Knighton was doing kick ups in front of the Stretford end. Kudos to Martin Edwards for transforming them into a dominant force in English football, however their complacency and lack of willingness to face down challengers leaves them where they are now. A bunch of deep in debt has beens trying to rig football for their gain with a super league.

Most Rags have zero knowledge of anything pre 1993 and think that players have always had squad numbers.
It's also ironic that the stock market flotation that gave them the springboard to outspent everyone and dominate for so long gave The Glazers the opportunity to acquire these shares as a leveraged buyout and plunge them so deep into debt.
Oh dear, what a shame, never mind.

Always thought utd should have tried to get the Olympic/Commonwealth stadium when first planned, it would have stopped us moving from Maine Road and perhaps no Sheik Mansour
