Had a work meeting today with some people down from Hull. The woman said she was originally from Moss Side via Burnage. As I showed them out, the guy mentioned he'd been to see the Stone Roses at the Etihad.

Quick as a flash I saide at least he'd been to the premier football stadium in Manchester. He replied yeah but shame about the team that played there! Turns out he's a plastic dipper. From Hull.

The woman however was a true blue of the Mancunian variety!

Thats ridiculous tbf. If they had the 1 point lead then you could say this with some confidence as they dont look like dropping points and it wouldnt matter what you did.

However you have the 1 point advantage, so as long as you keep winning it doesnt matter if they win each game 10-0, you will win the league.

On paper yes - but it;s a huge ask for us, as we labour in a fair few games - 6 games is about 15% of the season to go. Media started the 'run in' shite at Christmas!...fools

Why is everyone slagging Trevor Sinclair off. He never has a bad word to say about City and in the area I live in he has a reputation for helping good causes and youth football. Perhaps he had some demons in the past so what. I know for a fact he turns out for lots of charity events. No one was slagging him when he was banging in goals for our team in Derby matches.

He used to enjoy a drink or 8,not sure if he still does....but it got him in unsavoury situations from time to time and he definitely behaved like a prick.

I now only have his radio contributions to go off,but as you say,he definitely appears to have got his act together and seemingly contributes plenty to charity/the community.

In the few media reports I can find about last nights win, it seems we were fortuitous, (their big word not mine) Deflections it seems don't count as real goals.
I would have thought that 11 players stood in their own penalty area increases the risk of a deflected goal and invites a player to shoot. They don't.

I think every win from Teena Hag at the start of next season will be greeted with euphoria by the media, any defeats early on will be met with not his team yet and it takes time to turn a club round. By the end of the season the press will still be talking about the needing time and more transfer windows. Second season the same until after christmas when any win will be proclaimed as turning the corner. Sacked earlier into third season.
