Alyson Rudd cannot possibly be as stupid as she comes across , can she ?

If so, it just proves what a genuine dipper supporter she is,
If anyone ever needed a measure on her as an informed pundit, I would point them in the direction of her bumbling her way through an answer posed to her by Neil Ashton (yes, that Neil Ashton) on Sunday Supplement.

The question went along the lines of 'what is the difference between Manchester City spending (insert outrageous figure) on players vs Real Madrid spending a lot of money of players'?

It completely sums her up ill-informed, ill-prepared and doesn't really have a well thought out opinion.

Embarrassing............

I've listened to 3 pods with more to follow at some point.

1. Guardian with Ronay, Brewin and Glendenning
Critical of BT
Ref/ VAR decisions right
Arsenal great but critical of professionalism, losing heads, Xhaka and Gabriel stupidity
Mane was a red card.
City a relentless winning machine

3-0 on all.

2. Totally Football with Storey, Bardell and Sasha someone( liverpool fan who actually posts on RAWK)

Critical of BT
Ref/ VAR decisions right
Arsenal great but critical of professionalism, losing heads, Xhaka and Gabriel stupidity
Mane was a red card.
City a relentless winning machine

3-0 on all except the Liverpool fan on the ref/VAR

3. Times - Alyson Rudd and a couple of others

Ref/ VAR decisions right
Arsenal great but critical of professionalism, losing heads, Xhaka and Gabriel stupidity
City a relentless winning machine

3-0 on all except Liverpool fan Rudd on the ref/Var who was talking so much bollocks and no understanding of how VAR works.

Overall not too bad and the criticism of BT pleasing and also as predicted by Ahsan on 93:20.
I only listen to 2. these days, so thanks for listening to 1. and 3. for the rest of us ;-)

I say brilliant game!! The first half was genuinely a fantastic game of football. Why not congratulate 2 teams for putting on such a show?
And, in fairness to the media people involved (except McManaman), City's 2-2 at Anfield was (almost) equally hailed as an amazing game between 2 great teams and a great advert for the Premier League.

The Premier League wins and we win with games like these
Yes I agree. I'm not arsed comparing the teams to City - it was just a really good game which had everything you want in a game.......including mistakes.

just seen another Arsenal tv video this evening and the bloke who fronts the show was still whinging about the injustice they suffered.

Wouldn't his theoretical 3 game ban be spent by the time he gets back from AFCON anyway? Would it have applied to AFCON games thinking about it or is it just domestic?

He should have been red carded all day and every day for that of course.
The games would have been served by the time he returns for sure. FA Cup, Carabou Cup, and a league game (unless they get a load of Covid postponements). But it's the principle that matters. The authorities shouldn't be influencing referees by putting pressure on them to handle certain clubs or games differently than others.

Having just sat through that pile of sh*t from the ’theatre of dreams‘ I hope the popular media hacks will stop accusing us of ruining competition and ask a serious question about how a team as desperately poor as the rags can possibly be top four contenders.
