Gerrards only influence on the match will be to pick a weakened team or deploy strange tactics. Pretty sure his current bosses would be impressed if he actually threw the game. Professionals don't do that sort of thing anyway
Just a couple of ‘bold’ selection decisions or even a 5-10% drop off in preparation can have a big effect, these teams need to be pretty much perfect as well as lucky to get anything against the best sides anyway. Quite easy to toss off a game without anyone really noticing

Yesterday, there is no way Leeds would be that aggressive with our full strength team out. Putting kev, mahrez and bernie in from the start would have subdued Leeds, or any side, into playing with more caution. Those are the players that can hurt you.
Their tactics were about high energy aggression against a weakened City side banking on us being tired between hard games against Real Madrid. In the end they ran out of steam.

The ref let too much go but not with us. It was hubris that the Leeds player injured himself but he should have also been sent off for at least a second yellow and a possible red.

I’d be more worried about Villa wanted to stop us winning the league as a payback for taking Grealish.

That said, if we can’t beat Villa at home to seal the PL title then it’s completely on us.

If it comes down to us having to beat villa to win the league then I think we will absolutely destroy them and there's fuck all slippy G can do about it

There’s a lot riding of the rest of this season from a legacy perspective.

If Liverpool win the quad they will be regarded as the best ever side.

If they win one of the PL or CL, the comparisons between us being great sides will continue.

However, if we bag the PL and CL, no one can seriously compare both sides. Liverpool will have won 1 PL, 1 CL, 1 LC and maybe 1 FA cup under Klopp. Whereas we will have 4 PLs, 1 CL, 4 LC and 1 FA cup under Pep.

It’d be great if those giddy shites in the Media and Dipper fans only lifted the LC this season.

I agree with you but do you honestly think the media in this country let the facts get in the way of their narrative. Even now Klopps trophy haul is nothing next to Peps but listen to the media and you’d think they were equals.

The lack of enthusiasm in the voice of Tyler for each of Citys goals was obvious today! Eg.. it’s a goal for City, Rodri scores again.
no shouting, just stated it.
hard to listen to. If it was Liverpool he would have sounded as excited as a kid on Christmas night.
You do the senile old get a disservice. Somebody had just passed him a note telling him his dog had died. Four times.

He really couldn't do it without destroying the Villa players faith in him. That is more important to a manager than helping their old side. It won't happen.

Sky is not at all intended for City fans. We are related disruptors, breaking the cartel that they created and destroying their cash-cow based sky 4. Revenues and jobs were threatened as a result. So the strategy is simple - give the subscribers what they want with a combined fanboy TV coverage of the cash cow clubs whilst displaying a total disdain for everything City related.
Put in this context, Tyler is an excellent employee. Promotes the product brilliantly and unashamedly targets the customer base with hisclubs work, ensuring that subscription and renewal rates are as high as possible.
I take your point but apart from the favoured teams, there is City plus 17 other clubs and fans who all get an inferior service/coverage they pay for whilst Sky piss in the pockets of the redshirts. When their teams play against the redshirts they are always 'the enemy' even if its just for the day.
Having said that, MOTD......oh dear

I heard this first hand this week from a fella I worked with a red from Scotland. He asked me how I enjoyed the Real game. Fantastic I said did you catch any of it. Nope he replied cancelled BT when United went out. Reminded me why they are so desperate for them to win, pure commerce.

They’re not equals though, as bingo is hugely better. Pep has spent £10 billion and has a squad of 80 full international, whilst bingo has been finding local one legged lads in the park and training them into world beaters. Any international players they have, not only play for free but all walk to Klanfield from wherever they live. Not only that, but we have to pay all our players £1M a week to come to City, whilst in dipperland they all play for free as it ‘just means more.’

Dipper fan Alyson Rudd has written a vomit inducing piece in the Times today about Klipperty and the love the "enraptured" dipper fans have for him. She goes on to say that "It feels as if Liverpool have broken through a barrier and are about to become a dynasty rather than simply the club that tries to block the path of Manchester City".

Fuck off you simpering idiot, the only Dynasty they have any chance of achieving is if there is a remake of the tv series - Bingo and Bobby (sic) certainly have the requisite Hollywood gnashers!
