Here is a way to stop the trolling of Manchester City hosted by Guardian football. Simply report every such post. And you don't need an account to do it. Simply go through the comments, and report any comment you find to be trolling, and the Guardian will have to assess it.

If they want to grow their digital presence by attacking and trolling Manchester City then there will be an administrative cost to doing so. Be a good Citizen.

Somebody should point out to Bingo that City also spend what they earn but City's owner invests the club's profits back into the team and club while Liverpool's owners repatriate much of their profit back to the USA and straight into other projects or their own pockets.

Just a barefaced lie. Liverpool's revenues are very close to City's with a difference of just £8m in total over the last five seasons. Most of the huge amount of cash which Liverpool earn goes into the pockets of its US owners.
It reminds me of Arsene Wenger who kept accusing City of "financial doping" to deflect criticism of his greedy owners. He kept his mouth shut about lack of investment in the squad while he was the highest paid Manager in world football. It took Arsenal fans 10 years to realise they had been fleeced.

That's exactly why nowt was said - Dippers 'n Rags spending AND winning. The world is back on it's pedestal. Nowt to see. But if some other club spends and wins there's plenty up with the spending, and the winning is tainted. Yer've only got to see the new Sky advert at the top of the Bluemoon masthead - CFC women (Champions!) fair enough! and the follicly unchallenged Uruguayan wearing a Stretford shirt (fourth). Laughable, but not to their scarlet bedecked subscribers hanging on to the last intelligible syllable (one a season!) from Jamie Spittle and Gary Nutter! Once the RDAHMeedya begin to report on what actually happens across the football world rather than promoting the two most dreadful teams and fans to besmirch the game, then their revenues would vanish overnight.
