Was thinking this yesterday when reading one of those silly clickbait headlines on Twitter
Is Luis Diaz the greatest ever January signing - it exclaimed.

We never get any credit for our signings. Imagine the wanking off in the media if Liverpool had signed a midfielder for £21m who got 17 goals and 5 assists in all competitions on the way to winning the league and a domestic cup for his team - like Gundogan did last season?
Was it ever mentioned once by anyone in the media that that was a great piece of business?
Now compare that to the praise heaped on Thiago for a few good months, but stats nowhere near as good, and also cost more.

Real put two crosses into the box and we didn't deal with either of them. We only have ourselves to blame as we should have scored 10 over the two legs. Fuck the media, they hate that we're here competing in these huge competitions but there's nothing they can do about it as we're here to stay.

Pep be looking at where we were sloppy at giving the ball away when 1 up

Christ am in in a foul mood today, tops it all by glancing at an article by that glue sniffing beer nosed twat Paul Merson putting his two penneth in about Grealish and how he doesn't fit in to the team and should be sold etc. Then to cap it all he's on the TV later today on some bleedin head clearing walking pilgrimage round Yorkshire, fuck off!

Talk sport actually being nice to us this morning. Alan brazil gabby and neil warnock all saying they felt gutted for us.
Sad we are not the sacrificial lambs in the final, that’s what the media really really wanted. Their darlings defeating big bad City.

Thought I'd take one for the team and check out the newspapers. Much glee of course but more about trying to unsettle the team in general and Grealish in particular. Nothing to write home about.
We've lost to Real Madrid in the champions league semi final and people are acting as if it's the biggest disaster ever to befall the club. Personally, I was more upset after watching the team get relegated a number of times and watching David Pleat skipping over the Maine Road pitch was far more humiliating than Spaniards, the British media and assorted rags and dippers celebrating our loss in a knock out competition.

Ian Wright and Tim Sherwood talking sense on international premier League show. A couple of minutes of madness took the game from us and they expect us to batter the barcodes.

Didi Hamman looks likes a pissed up Scouse twat laughing at us on SSN.

Keane scoring the winner at Maine Road after being 2-0 up in 93 was worse for me than last night.
That was our cup final in those days and we were never near winning any silverware back then.
Reality check needed for some of our fans

Was it that long ago fuck still hurts. Sadly last night is also one that will pain us 30 years down the line. Father Paul alas will have moved on to bigger and greater things by then of course.
