I am clearly in the minority here but I like Ronay’s writing. And to put a bit of balance back for those who haven’t read the article he ends by saying “this looks like the most irresistible club team English football has ever witnessed”.
If our fans are getting their knickers in a twist over someone who says that about us then maybe a bit of perspective would help.
It’s the repeated lies about unlimited resources (which is plainly wrong on any account) and being state owned which might irk one or two. Crazy, I know.

How’s about that for a bit of perspective?

I myself am more 'woke' than 'conservative', but you make excellent points. Social and cultural reality is extremely complex, and the most liberal boxes in which we order it for us are still boxes that can't do full justice to its complexity. The attempts to import liberal democracy in some non-Western countries have been costly failures.

This sport washing stuff could make some sense if City were unsuccessful as a business project. But it's the opposite: it's a great investment project that is likely to be hugely successful in purely business terms.
It's worth noting that The Guardian aren't actually "woke". Not that they don't cater to that audience (they 100% do as has been pointed out by you and PB and probably many others), it's just the people running the show don't actually care and like any other business are just doing what it takes to make money. It's the market they operate in.

99% of their staff are of that "progressive" mindset, but the 1% at the very top that actually matter are just as crooked and greedy as the rest.

Anyone remember Saturdays, I altered my birth certificate to show I was 18 not 16 to get in there in the 70’s.. I was chuffed to fuck with my forgery.. The bouncer wasn’t, he said “you have to be 21 to get in here, fuck off” … No worries getting in Tiffany’s though :-)
We used to pay the bouncers to get in to Saturdays through the back door from the bar (can't remember the bar's name), they would let us in 2 or 3 at a time. But if that didn't work, yeah it was Tiffanys, Rotters or the Ritz if we could get in any of the others!

I honestly think deloony and nostrils Harris and loopy lieu all reside in a residence like one flew over the cuckoo's nest, all sat round a table with that vacant stare, notepads open with scribblings of I hate city and kill pep and oil bastards, all whilst Blue Moon plays out softly over the speakers on the wall.
Deloony has shit himself in his Utd onesie, nostrils Harris is sat in his own piss in a Chelsea onesie and lieu has thrown up his alphabeti spaghetti all down his Liverpool onesie.

Cunts.
Think Harris is a Spurs fan.

DAZN in Canada.

34th minute today. Foden plays a ball through to basically nobody.

Jim Beglin: "You can hear the annoyance around the Emptyhad... Etihad"

Heard the same.
The deep-rooted prejudice against City is long uncalled for.
But we do let people like Tebas call us out all the time and so it shouldn't be a surprise
