In 2012, Roan was banned from all media activity involving Manchester City following an interview with Patrick Vieira, which had been originally arranged to promote Football Against Hunger, a charity Vieira was involved with. Vieira was quoted in the interview as stating that city rivals Manchester United receive favourable refereeing decisions when playing at home. Roan was accused of deliberately taking Vieira's comments out of context and engaging in 'leading and aggressive questioning'.[2]

In 2018, Roan faced calls to resign following his comments at the memorial for Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha and four other victims of a fatal helicopter crash. Roan alleged that the Leicester City's boss had a 'mistress who died in the crash'.[3] Following, Roan issued an apology to explain that the comments were made off-air and with 'no offence intended'.[4]
What’s that called then?

Mediawashing by the BBC?

Fucking Hypocrites.

Matt Hughes in Mail today in his article that Premier League clubs are voting to outlaw state ownership in the future.

Stating City are 78 per cent owned by the Abu Dhabi Sovereign Wealth Fund.

It's just blatant lying.

Well they’ll get a shock if brought in and expect our owner to sell up.

It might be because it's targeted towards me (as a city fan), but which other media puts paid ads on articles about transfers with over inflated fees to get clicks? The Athletic trying to grow their Twitter following by quoting as high a package as possible in a promoted post.

Correct Tolmie, and the never ending bullshit narrative around the club, always comforted, by posters like prestwich blue and others who actually know there shit. However the trump card for me is a mate of mine , law degree, masters at Cambridge, lectured in law at four Uk universities, specialised in sport and business. He is not a city fan, but is adamant, that premier league rules and FFP would not stand up in a real court of law. don't think we will contest. However Newastle might,
pretty sure they have no intentions.of finishing midtable.

The 2-1 defeat at Anfield didn't help. A game I missed because our car broke down on the East Lancs.
The 4 0 defeat at Derby one of my worse days watching City, after that always outsiders for the title. Played Derby first game following season came from a goal down twice to draw 2 2 only times I was at Derby.

It is simply not normal to quote all in packages for players. Just observe the Nunez to Liverpool stuff today. Fee only. Its as plain as the nose up their arse.

The Daily Mail slaughtering Liverpool for possibly spending £85mill on Nunez without including add ons, bonuses, etc . With an inset picture of Klopp smiling and waving.

As you say, it’s obvious to every City fan how our transfers are reported in the media compared to (certain) other clubs.

In terms of this supposed effort to outlaw state-ownership by Premier League clubs, we would be unaffected in any event for the simple reason, we are legally majority owned by an individual, Sheikh Mansour. He may well be a member of the ruling royal family of the UAE, but he owns Manchester City in a private capacity, good luck with that one in court.

Not that these rules would impact existing ownerships in any event for the same legal reasons, it’ll be for entities looking to buy-in moving forward. Nonetheless, enforcing these rules when said interested parties want to buy football clubs will be a legal minefield. Who determines what is a state owner? The other 14 want to vote wisely on this, as their future hopes to ever break the current ‘big 6’ monapoly depend on outside investment, and not US leveraged buy-outs, see Burnley.

Blimey are you one of them, I didn't realise, what's your posting name?

Giggle.
I am certainly not a racist bastard nor were my parents. You should not make such sweeping generalisations with
a guess over a newspaper and with so little evidence. :)
Anyway you missed the point l was making. Do wake up, Misty, old bean.
Only girls giggle and small ones at that.

My recollection is a 1-1 draw first game of the season at the baseball ground. Peter Barnes equaliser. I was also there.

Ive just read some crap called Birmingham.com that gets sent to me by Reach plc which said City have phoned a bid of 50M for Tyrone Fucking Mings. I would rather have Phil the Face if we are abandoning our style of playing out from the back.
