Can we get back to the serious business?
Let's face it, the media are desperate for Liverpool to catch us up. Every time they win, we hear "Liverpool have Man City in their sights", or "City looking nervously over their shoulder", or "Liverpool win puts them nearer to City's total", or "Liverpool haven't given up|", even if we have won as well and the points gap remains the same.
I don't seem to remember the same eagerness for City to catch the "runaway leaders" up, when we did just that with our amazing winning runs in PL title seasons.
If, or should I say "when", Liverpool beat Burnley, it'll all be about how they are getting ever nearer to overtaking us. If by some mischance they did, it would be hailed for decades to come as one of the great victories for a special team with a proud history and an indomitable spirit.
Just you watch the superlatives after today at Turf Moor.
