Your last paragraph is the problem though don’t you think? That you can name 10 journalists who have a vendetta doesn’t sound very fair does it? The fact that The Athletics designated City reporter isn’t quite as bad as everyone else isn’t really a ringing endorsement.I saw his original tweet, and genuinely I think people are going way overboard.
I have huge issues with the “media” treatment of City, but come on, the way he phrased his orginal tweet was obviously an exaggeration of both ends of the spectrum to illustrate a point.
I don’t think it does our fan base any favours to react in this way, especially when Sam Lee doesn’t even make the top 10 in terms of journalists with a vendetta against City
Sam knows what he’s doing and he has to accept the road he’s going down will only alienate large sections of our support even more, which gives him more material and round and round we go.
Life, and blood pressure is much better when you avoid all the white noise that emanates from the new generation of what is basically a rolling news style of journalism.
They need content to survive, it’s their oxygen and only by ignoring obvious hit pieces like his latest effort will he eventually get bored or better still, fucked of because the numbers are no longer there.
