I see Sky Sports have gone Full Tonto on the Carabao Cup Final. It is now the greatest tournament in the world given that City aren't in the Final for once.

All morning wall to wall coverage from the Wembley dugouts, ref profiles, archive footage of great Redness from the past, a bit of Blue Kings Road glory, they've got the lot. On a par with the old-style build up for the FA Cup final in the 1970s. All that's missing is Carabao It's a Knock Out and Carabao Universally Challenged with Kaveh and Darmesh.

Guess nobody is surprised by their arselicking of the dipper cunts really .

Again, this means nothing. What tweet etc etc?

It was presumably the "whataboutery" (PB's description, not mine) tweet re Chelsea that @Prestwich_Blue opened up with, before engaging seriously (with a lot of good points that weren't answered by the way).

But that isn't the point. The point is: what is the (presumably derogatory) nickname and who initiated it?

What nickname?!?!? These twitter threads make no sense to me.

@Prestwich_Blue deleted his tweet. It was along the lines of asking if the Chelsea Athletic reporter has asked their fans what they think of their owners in a similar way to Sam Lee did about us the other day. Might be best for @Prestwich_Blue to explain himself (should he want to). I thought he had a point (although maybe it wasn't the right time to make it). That said if the shoe was on the other foot and it was City, you can be sure as shit the usual suspects would be all over it and slamming us for it, day of invasion or not

To be fair so does posting on a City forum (and pretty much anything else in the world), but here we are

But that's not exactly related. It's fine to keep doing what you usually do while there's a war going on a long way away, sure, but what they're getting angry about is specifically linked to the invasion, and a very trivial part of it.

"And now over to Wembley l. As the two teams neutrals want to fight for the title are preparing to play each other in a major cup final..."
