I had that daft woman on Talk Sport. "You can't polish a turd". Like most of these callers she knew nothing whatsoever about football. "I'd play the reserves". What a clown. And the presenters acting like she's some kind of football genius for saying the team are shit.

Fuck me, I don't even support Man United and I know exactly what the problem is: poor management from the top for ten years. When you start to berate an entire squad you are talking rubbish.

The thing is, they’re not shit. The table doesn’t lie, they are a team that is better than most in the division but is still a long way off being a title contender. West Ham aren’t shit, they just aren’t a top 3 team. The rags may finish 4th, they may finish 8th. That’s their level. Their rivals are Arsenal, Spurs and West Ham, not us Chelsea and Liverpool. I know they get the benefit of decisions, but they are above the level of a mid table team and we delude ourselves by saying otherwise.

What’s shit is their utterly delusional belief that they just need the right manager/striker/centre back who will turn them from also rans to title contenders. There is something deeply rotten at the heart of that club and they will carry on at their current level as long as that is not put right. The right manager/centre back/whatever and they finish 4th instead of 7th. For a top 3 finish they need Chelsea to fall out of orbit.

It all stems from their sense of entitlement and their inability to come to terms with their new reality. They genuinely believe success is their right, not something that has to be earned. They, as a fan base, have had ten years to get used to the new world order and they still haven’t got it.

Yeah. And Manchester United are mediocre.

Watching Neville and Keane after the game yesterday summed them bastards up to a tee. Keane was all man unyted this and man unyted that.... this is man unyted we're talking about. Absolute hot air bollocks. Then Mr rat boy know it all pulls up a chair and makes out like he knows everything there is to know about their plight but when asked a perfectly good question by Micah starts spitting his dummy out 'Stop Ranting!!!'. Then he starts tapping up managers as Keane in the background starts saying 'pay them what they want', 'money is not the issue here'. What a pair of horrible, arrogant pricks!

With people like them two clowns as cheerleaders absolutely nothing is gonna change for those horrible c8nts for the foreseeable future. The arrogance they display has been etched in that club for decades and they and it still reek of it. I would like to hope their arrogance will continue forever as I really cannot see a change of fortunes for them while the Glaziers are in charge, the pisscan is sticking around & twats like Keane and rat boy are mouthpieces as neither of them have any kind of positive input to the situation.

Finally, I like to criticise Micah for playing to the crowd and sticking to the script with his punditry, but the man was an absolute legend yesterday. Wound Keane up with his giddiness and showed rat boy up for the slapped arse no nowt he is.

Glorious days my friends.

Yeah, every media outlet was the same - radio, MotD, todays papers. It's as though they are willing for some magic wand to appear with every paragraph, word or syllable that is written or uttered. They are desperate to get the Rag 'steam train' puffing again! It'll be stuck in the sidings for some time yet. I think The Arse have got their mojo back and will keep ahead of them, so whoever stumps up at the Swamp next season will only have the Disney pot to go for!
I think the tide is changing though some pundits are still sticking to the false narrative that United have a great squad and it just needs the right manager to galvanise them. It was clear yesterday that they have a lot of technically poor players who can't even trap a ball with their first touch and are not elite level players. I give you Lindelof, Maguire, Fred, McTominay, Elanga, Wan-Bissaka, Telles, and Rashford for starters. Not many of them would get in the West Ham team for example. United are in a false position in the league at present with those players.
I thought the latest headless chicken they have produced, Elanga, was pitiful yesterday.

They keep blaming the Glazers, by saying they're taking money out, which they are, but they forget that under the Glazers stewardship, revenue has trebled and they are spending over half a billion a year on the first team
The issue with the Glazers is they are too trusting in Woody et al

That's the beauty of it. There's no easy fix for this. It stems from an owner/board of directors who don't know how to run a football club and are making knee-jerk, disjointed decisions on an ongoing basis. Temporary managers, big money desperation signings...there's no vision, no cohesion and the more they do it the worse it gets. It's their version of what we went through in the 1990s.

The other beautiful thing, and similarity to our situation back then, is that their plight is magnified because their two most hated rivals are the polar opposite: well run and successful.

Their only route out of this spiral is to oust the owners.

I’m not even sure that just changing the owners would work. The glaziers are happily taking their management fees out of the company, but what’s that, 25-50m a year? It’s not a huge amount in the grand scheme of things. They could replace them (if say the Glazers wanted to cash in) but who wouldn’t want to start getting their money back? A new owner is unlikely to be hugely different to the Glazers.

It needs not just a change of owners, but a new owner that will spaff £4 billion on a vanity project, ruthlessly replace a vast swathe of deadwood on and off the pitch, recruit well to replace them (thus spending another billion) and all without taking anything out for their trouble.

Those people don’t come along every day.

I'm waiting for our apology from Mike Riley. I shan't hold my breath
We should write to them demanding one after what they released to Everton. Oh and do a highlight reel for Olivers performances over the years for us with so many nailed on decisions being ignored. The man is a cheat, pure and simple and should not be no where near our games

Caller after caller yesterday saying “x player isn’t a Manchester United player” and “come on, this is Manchester Utd we’re talking about”…. And?

You’re a football club, competing with 19 other clubs in the division and 92 in the football league in total. You don’t deserve anything unless you work hard and work smart to get it. United as a club aren’t entitled to the best players and best managers and trophies because you won stuff under one man for 20 years in the past.

City aren’t entitled to win stuff when Pep leaves, not unless we are incredibly clever and replace him with the right personnel.

United are no more entitled to win stuff than Newcastle or Burnley, that’s the beauty of competitive sport. you’re quite correct in saying their arrogance is part of their downfall. They sign a player on huge wages that City have vaguely been interested in and presume they’re going to score 30 goals a season or get them 15 clean sheets. It’s madness but long may it fucking continue.

I hear off rags less and less these days, they’re quietly depressed.
