I think that(United fans backpeddling, deleting tweets etc) just adds to the comedy of the Ronaldo transfer roller-coaster myself. Most of us are fine with him not coming, some are mighty relieved he's not.

Whichever way the Rags spin it though, City turned him down in the end and City fans will still always have fond memories of the United fume(piss boiled), that was created when he was twerking for City and it looked like it might happen. They're paying him £480k a week apparently and that's a Sky source, so it's probably more than the £510k City were rumoured to have offered(not sure they did) or has lots of bonuses, knowing them.
