That's not important obviously.
Do you know why this particular match was played at the Swamp. With free admission and school kids being bussed in it seems they might have have played a more interesting team than Everton for such a historical occasion.
It doesn't matter to the Rags - they are the only ones who can be historical. Well, perhaps, with the Dippers, too!

He also quotes Tebas attacking City and PSG for being "state-funded" without the context of his background. It is totally dishonest to quote him without pointing out that he is a self-confessed far right supporter who wants Muslims deported from Spain(he has openly stated this) and also his strong links with Real Madrid who have had more state funding than most clubs in Europe. This really is disgusting stuff from the BBC and can't be defended by any public service organisation. It would be like quoting Gary Glitter's view on childcare without mentioning his background.
Agree 100%, quoting Tenas with zero context is par for the course and gives the misleading impression he is an impartial expert. It’s a bit like when the media roll out the so called “Tax Payers Alliance “ as a union of honest hard working Joe’s and not a neo con Tory funded pressure and propaganda agency who never complain about corrupt PPE contracts or money for ferry companies who don’t own ferries but are quick to attack Labour councils, people on benefits and immigrants.

Interesting timing of this - Kieran Maguire and The Athletic have formally done a version of the old Liverpool fan's transfer inflation calculator.

One team is noticeable absent.
I remember Bergkamps Transfer being a particularly big thing as I lived in Holloway at the time

Hopefully in the laudable aim of boiling yet more Piss we will correct this anomaly in the future

Obviously! But City f*cked up against Southampton and (especially) against Spurs. 5 points tossed away after Liverpool played first. City would be 6 points clear if they had won those 2 games. Whereas Liverpool have won their games after City played before they did. When Liverpool beat Watford the pressure will be pilled on City before they play Burnley. A draw is no good as Liverpool will be 1 point in-front of City before the game at the Etihad. Hopefully City will beat Burnley?
Nah, let them beat Watford and we can afford to draw at Burnley
Liverpool will be a point in front, get all giddy and the week after next, we’ll take the fucking twats apart
