You’ve just said you want our owners to sell up, you muppet. No one is on the same page as that.
I said that IF they are not going to do anything about this then I would not be against them selling up , why cant I have my own opinion here ? no need to be calling people names if they are worried about what will happened to the team I love and have since 1977 even though I am not from Manchester but from Iceland.

what is

Not anything new in the article
This is attack on City
This will hurt our brand if this goes on

the last bit was me saying we have to stop this , before they fuck us over
You said the owners should sell as some proven lying German fantasist magazine are printing lies yet again which have been dealt with by CAS and then is copied by the usual equally usual lying journalists in this country.

So your answer is for them to sell as apparently liverpool will get us eventually!

Again, utter bollocks.

So you are Ok that City will not do anything about this AGAIN and we will be called cheats AGAIN .

This has properly riled up the scousers. All going apeshit towards Stu Brennan.

Liked this bit

"That narrative, however, is largely espoused by the cultish element of Liverpool’s varied support base, and cheered on by blinkered associates who serve as media pundits."

What can City realistically do? Any one with any legal experience will tell you a institution the size of City taking on a media outlet is a PR disaster. If you think the shit we get now is bad, wait until we are seen to be a 'Middle-Eastern owned club attacking free speech' because that is what will come. That will attract negative publicity much further than sports journalists & have a much greater impact on the clubs reputation.

The fact is this isn't going to stop, it hasn't since 2018 when it started. These new leaks contain nothing new, maybe an email that says we need to keep the auditors onside from 2012 would be the only one causing slight concern, but in any event, it's from fucking 2012. This will blow over as it's been dealt with @ CAS in detail. City will settle with the PL outside of arbitration as it's a nightmare for both parties to sort (imo) & the media will move full tilt from FFP cheats to getting state ownership out of the game.

Let me see...

Series of big games coming up - check
'Dump' of numerous emails etc within the article because they can't make any new stories from them - check
Some rehashed attack lines - check
Immediate clinging on from the usual group of journalists - check
Clutching from usual extremely online groups of supporters - check

As a reminder, when Abramovich was sanctioned, Chelsea were moments from folding according to the press. Now the sale is progressing and it's pretty much business as normal for them. Better for your own sanity if you ignore the usual groups and their incendiary reactions. All they want is an argument so they can make out the fans are partaking in some hatred campaign and have been 'sportswashed'

There are a number of City fans, such as Stefan & PB with the legal and financial knowledge to provide a succinct analysis of this all.

Unfortunately there's no changing the perception of the club amongst non-City fans. The narrative around City is now set and regardless of what, how and when we win things it'll be the same group of articles.

Best to enjoy the matches.
