Tony Fucking Evans (scouser?) on talksport what a bitter sad bast***! Got all his hate cliches in there, eggged on by Kelly. Who is the other guy who provides a little bit of balance?
 
Apparently we are bullying everyone and must be stopped the 10 year project/sports washing whilst scousers did it organically through gate receipts. Dillusional bitter racist moron!

Contradicting myself never normally have it on but washing the pots I foolishly put it on to catch up on any transfer news . Then he Kelly brought covid into the conversation as to what city have spent ? At this point I’m not aware we’ve spent anything. It’s a vile radio station.

Just posted this on the Talkshite thread a few minutes ago re that disgraceful half hour of TS laying into us - without grounds - for half an hour between 8-830 pm. It was the Danny Kelly show(er)


Neither the host Danny Kelly nor the tabloid journo, nor the professional Scouser Evans are likely to have said anything actually slanderous in my lay opinion. As Danny Kelly said earlier “we’re just here to state the facts”.

But their selection of out of date facts on which they base their bile-led opinions on is seriously poor broadcasting. Clearly meant to erroneously or, at best, ignorantly lead listeners into further bitterness about us and neutrals into discounting our achievements.

When it comes to things like FFP the “facts” they choose are downright misleading, no longer relevant as they have been superseded and picked merely to pander to the misinformed prejudices of their listenership.

“They (City) were found to be guilty of breaching FFP - and that’s a fact”, said that geordie chump from the Sun.

Well maybe in the distant we were (probably because it was brought in at great haste to stymie us and not helped by UEFA moving the goal posts during the reporting period originally in question and prosecuted back in the early 2010’s.

However, in the recent and most relevant judgement by CAS concerning the following years, it was made clear we did (and to this day) do comply with FFP.

“City can’t be allowed to just go on spending what they like.”

“Otherwise they and PSG will create a two team Europe and a monopoly in the Premier League”(Kelly)

“Sports washing” was again brought up with the political project jibe mentioned earlier by Tony Evans.

It’s all said so you’ll infer City are throwing in as much money as they wish to subsidise our club that according to them doesn’t have the pedigree of their beloved red scouse and by inference the only reason we can afford to buy Kane, Grealish etc.

No mention of the skilled financial husbandry and great youth system that has allowed us to produce the most valuable graduates from our academy to help us afford such transfer fees.

FFP means we can’t put in more than the odd peanut - over and above what we earn - and we haven’t thrown in as much as a bag of KP for the last seven or eight years now.

We are a successfully self- sustaining club and have been for years. We’re just beating those old timer clubs now by thriving and outsmarting our enemies under the very same rules they set up to try to stop us.

Unlucky lads. Best get used to it.

I think it’s safe to say that they don’t spout this out of journalistic values. What intrigues me is how none of these so called journalists have mentioned that this so called sports washing hasn’t really paid dividends and has had the opposite effect. Meaning that there is only one other call and that it that Sheikh Mansour is in it for the buzz and making a hell of a lot of money in the meantime.

City have actually made a fortune for the other clubs as well by raising the profile of a stagnant PL, and although he puts the majority of profits back into the club, he still gets vilified whereas those who take huge amounts out have not a jot reported.

As you say, get used to it, lads.

true , but not just our current crop of players we have brought in players from all over europe and developed a lot of players into class acts Vinnie , Merlin , Yaya , Kun , too name a few , the Premier league is a far more attractive proposition because Sheik Mansour invested a billion and now Sky and the majoriy of the media are throwing it back in our faces ..................fuck 'em.

Sorry but those you have mentioned surely must have been made by pre Pep, and since then players like Sterling,Walker,Eddie, Gundo,Foden, Bernie,Stones,Laporte and even Dias have come even better through the superb coaching of Pep and his staff.
