No, in fairness I just saw your one comment #4417 and was replying to that. But regardless of whether it sullies the result for you or not you did say that Hinchy’s questionable outing as a rag by another poster sullied his gesture.

You seem to be taking the old idiom “Believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see” the wrong way round
I think you're looking way to deep at peoples posts at 11pm at night tbh.

I know for a fac this commentry is awful and comes across as bitter and anti city because I have ears am dhave heard him, the same as Francis.

The other guy claimed he was a rag and I said that would sully his gesture and now we are here.

Strange world at times.

I may be wrong here, but Henry Winter was a journalist that City put the charm offensive on a few years ago and since then he's been largely positive about City and the ownership, I think. We don't notice anymore because he's become a Liverpool lover as of late but I don't think he's an anti-Arab owner kind of guy these days.
I lose track of them, o know winter wasn't one of the Twitter turds that never stop calling out our owner for every thing happening in the UAE

Hes an out & out dipper fan but if my memory serves, he did a lot of positive media with Raheem when it all got too much but was happy to tow the party line that we got away with ffp.

Yes. Football Focus, and the news earlier in the week, repeated the myth that Roger Hunt was a dedicated, one-club man throughout his career. No mention that he finished his playing career with 3 seasons at Bolton Wanderers.
He did a spell on loan with Hellenic in Cape Town. He also started out playing for Stockton Heath and Devises in the depths of Wiltshire.

BBC sacked him off because they could never get an opinion out of him. Has he now grown a voice or a decent size pair of balls.
He is trying to sell a shit travesty of a book.
Amazing how these cowardly twi faced cunts suddenly all grow a pair of balls and an opinion or two when it is in their financial interest to do so.
Just in case anyone was in any doubt, Peter Schmeichel is a bitter old red **** who has never accepted the fact that another young goalkeeper on our books who had paid his dues in the fourth flight had the gall to actually be significantly better in all respects than his cosseted, privileged lad at the time.
There is a reason why Kasper went to Notts fucking County in the fourth division when we got rid, he didn’t get back to playing in the premier league til he was in his late 20s

Wouldn’t you just love it if Putin’s puppet Kadyrov the Chechen tiger owning nutter somehow took over Everton, pumped billions in and put the dippers firmly in the shade.

Imagine the outrage, the vigils, the sense of victimhood
Not sure if they need a takeover, Moshiri, probably backed by Usmanov, has put a fortune into the club and is trying to make them a real force. It may take them longer than planned due to backing wrong manager‘s but I reckon they’ll be there or thereabouts in upcoming years.

It‘s not just the likes of Newcastle that the Red tops are worried about, the league is getting very congested for those lucrative top 4 positions and if you are there just to take money out of the club it’s a real balancing act to keep them competitive.

Henry Winter on R4 this morning talking about Newcastle's takeover said...

Why should the fans be the moral compass of the country especially as we, as a country, trade billions with them.

I was so shocked at this stance I nearly forgot what the previous 12 years have been like for City fans.
I have heard this stance quite a lot in the media. Of course you can not argue with it. Chinese, Russian, and Middle-eastern sovereign funds are hugely invested in Western infrastructure.

It annoys me greatly that the Britain, the capital of the commonwealth and ancient empire is regarded as clean and Johnny Foreigner as dirty. This is racism. Was North Sea oil somehow cleaner than Arab oil. Yes the middle-east is run by autocratic authoritarian rulers and the UK is a parliamentary democracy but this is all a legacy of Empire.

I accept that the UAE is a conservative autocratic state but the UK is not clean either. The British Army and RAF have long marched and flown over the Arab world and we are to be mortally offended if a football club falls into Arab hands? This is absurd! Your moralism has no basis. This is because we have human rights groups whose focus is on the third world when they should be pointing the finger at Washington, London, Moscow and Beijing. Geopolitical power does not lie in Abu Dhabi now does it.

Another point is that somehow over the last 12 months it has become common practise in the British media to claim that MCFC are owned by the UAE state. We are not. We are owned by Sheikh Mansour and sponsored by Etihad. That is not the same thing but they want to create a moral panic with MCFC at its centre because it fits their commercial strategy of selling news to outraged Liverpool and Man Utd supporters

I see the tax dodger, who plays for the tax dodging club, is main news again on BBC.

Wish he’d fuck off.
It appears the old BBC drag Rashford out on almost a daily basis to comment on a social issue of some sort. Wasn't he in Utds academy from a young age so if he went hungry as a kid then it was Utds fault surely??

I said at the time if Rashford went hungry whilst at utd academy it was piss poor from utd. I was surprised ( lol ) the press/media didnt pick up the fact that utds duty of care towards it's their academy kids didnt cover making sure they had food.
The so called biggest club in the world didnt care if the academy kids welfare.

I am sure he has said he went hungry when he was an academy kid, the press/media should be all over this as to why utd didnt notice this. I would guess he wasnt the only academy kid going hungry.

Has utds duty of care improve since Rashford ?

after watching the Jimmy Savile documentary last night, i think the BBC should have been disbanded years ago and shouldn't still be around to be an extension of united's marketing department
