Can we be holier than thou about this though Blackburn 2000 anyone ? We had thousands of ticket lessons fans many of whom jibbed in. My brother went without a ticket and somehow finished up in the directors box. When the gates opened with ten minutes to go thousands more blues piled in, congas along the touchline all very good humoured but I feared what could have happened had we lost. Boys will be boys, footy fans will be footy fans and appealing for them not to see go to a crucial game without a ticket is like telling it not to go dark at night. Checks for genuine tickets should have been way before the turnstiles a hand held devise will sort this out and there where sufficient police numbers to disperse or nick the ticket less. Has been said many times on here though these problems do seem unique to Liverpool .

Confirmation if we ever needed that these parade figures the scousers put out are just made up.

Why is it so exact and why did it look like less than 10x that?

It would be a bit different if we hadn’t caused death by our behaviour and if it had gone wrong in 2000 i doubt it would have been perceived as anyone else’s fault but ours.

I think the main difference is we would hold our hands up & admit we did it & apologise if needed, we would not try to blame some french/chelsea lads or deny all knowledge & pretend it didnt happen like the dippers do time after time.

They’re all bullshit! How can you estimate the size of a crowd like that? Fans walking alongside the bus, appearing at different points, load of bollocks, not that it matters.

I don’t question Rangers support, but their estimated 100,000 in Seville was clearly made up bollocks as well - 30,000 in the ground and another 20,000 on the big screen - where was everyone else?

Was definitely alot higher than that in the ground and venue with the big screen.

I know plenty who stayed in the bars jsut for the atmopshere
