On the subject of the Wenger 'ideas' the one regarding stopping the clock when the ball is out of play is possibly the one law change that would stop time wasting and make the the game flow like it should, however, 30 minutes each way is much to short and a full 45 minutes each way would be much too long.
When the 90 minutes was originally agreed on it took into account that within that time there would be seconds lost every time the ball was out of play and only additional time should be added for injuries. (more recently for subs and goals).
So if we look at the average amount of stoppages in a game and maybe give them an allotted reasonable average time then take them away from 90 minutes that will give the reasonable time the match (ball in play) should last.

average corners per Premier League game is 11 x 10 seconds = 110 seconds
average throw-ins per Premier League game is 45 x 5 seconds = 225 seconds
average free kicks per Premier League game is 33 x 10 seconds = 330 seconds
average goal kicks per Premier League game is 17 x 10 seconds = 170 seconds
Total seconds = 835 which equates to 13.9 minutes so lets call that 14 minutes

This means the ball will be in play for 76 minutes (38 minutes each way) even if this was 35 minutes each way it would give us 70 minutes in play which is far far more than now and will give no reason for any team to waste time.

I read somewhere that on average over the last four seasons the ball has been in play 55 minutes only ( in the Premier League).

City vs Burnley in 2020/21 had the highest "ball in play" of 66 minutes that year, due to our complete domination of possession (70%) and lack of fouls in the game.

Net spend is a stupid stat that only exists because Liverpool fans were desperate to justify some of the absolute shit they spent money on prior to Klopp.

Incoming transfer fees are not the only justified funds to use for transfer fees and I dont get why that even became a point of discussion.

Liverpool are kitted by Nike and sponsored by Standard Chartered. They aren't some mom and pop organisation trying to balance the bills.

Incidentally, the other team their owners run have a habit of historically acting like they're the lovable underdogs despite spending obscene amounts to improve the team.

Deserves more than a like due to the last paragraph. Red Sox are 3rd on my most disliked list, followed closely by the Patriots and Cowboys.
