That's not right, not by a long way....an agenda is at play there.

Southgate,or the team Captain,if an individuals picture was required, would have been the more relevant and acceptable choice.
Dont be daft, no agenda, now v senior pro amongst many poor performers with a superior team on the night celebrating as one as the backdrop, good photo.

Of course they use a picture of Sterling…

We arent surprised are we ?

The press/media were always going to blame City players. Southgate should have picked dippers and rag players.

For the City lads playing for England have to drop down a level and that's not easy. You spend the whole season playing at Peps level than drop down to Sunday league level for waistcoat.

Exactly great point, aswell as being City i’m a big england fan, but your right about our players when they link up with england they play with many inferior team mates with a clueless bloke totally out of his depth lacking any tactical knowhow in charge, Walks,Stones,Phil,Grealish etc must laugh listening to southgates boring nonsense.

I might add using Grealish as an example has been ok for England but has struggled at City this season. Like so many players before him it takes time to get Peps football.
So to expect City players to forget Peps training for waistcoat isnt going to be easy.

Just look who Walker and Stones have as a keeper for England ! Or who Stones has as a partner in England, non of whom are at the level of laporte or dias.

Stones has carried Maguire but the press/media say it's the other way round lol

it’s trying to unlearn real intricate genius level tactical knowledge drilled into them by pep to then to then nod and look enthusiastic at a bloke spewing woke sound bites about offield issues & his footballing input probably revole around such tactical mastery as “shall we play a back 3 or back 4” or when waistcoat as you referred to him as really wants to show off his tactical brilliance “we’ll put two spoilers in midfield that’ll stump the greats of international football” our lads must think “this is a joke this whole scene”

The lack of respect shown toward the club, Pep and the players is staggering.

This continual spewing of lies and racist bile from the majority of the media should be motivation enough to everyone connected with our club to just go out and continue to dominate the competition and ram their words back down their throats.

COME ON CITY!!!
No different than Baconface and rags in the '90's - pundits and media outlets unified in downplaying any achievements as it's bad for the English game to have a dominant force.

What do you mean no................!?!

Must be a coincidence that Stones and City target Phillips are on Sky sports headlines photo. They know exactly what they're doing.
And a picture of Phil and Southgate just underline the association of negativity and failure.
Very boring and very predictable.
Phil was only on for 20 odd minutes and had more shots in that time than the rest of the team out had managed all game .

The old waistcoated one seems a pretty decent bloke and has some pretty sound views I reckon. He always comes across pretty well in the media.
From a footballing point of view though, he was a very average club manager and does look out of his depth as an International manager. (though he has done pretty well in the last 2 major tournaments in fairness).
It is rare that I watch an England game, basically they just get in the way of proper football during the season.
The media will like to focus on the fact there were 4(?) City players playing last night, but as others have said they will have had to adjust to having far inferior players round them.
This isn't being arrogant ( there was also a reason why City didn't have any players picked for England for years)but at the moment when you watch a City match and then an England one the quality drops massively!
