Not sure if the Guardian is fit for any purpose seeing as there are plenty of good toilet tissue manufactors which actually do the job they purport to.
The Guardian is the only quality, left of centre paper that we have. Given these current times, I would ask you to overlook their possible bias against petro-dollars and focus how they benefit this country and hold the government to account. Apart from Private Eye and the BBC on occasions, there aren't many doing that.

Surprised Everton haven't shown some support given their ownership.
Everton are weird, owned by an incredibly rich man, yet unable to spend this last window because of FFP.

If anyone should be supporting us and the barcodes it's Everton.
You’re assuming he wants too.
He does and he is funding the stadium.

They have spent over 500m since his arrival

To be honest the Guardian is as bad as the Daily Mail. It is full of mistakes and presents a distorted version of events. It is shocking how much its quality has declined. You really can't trust most of what it publishes. It sells around 60,000 copies on a weekday (Saturday is about 100,000). It is a fringe publication.
The print media in the UK is totally polarised. It has become a vehicle for re-inforcing those polarised views when on most occasions the truth of any situation usually lies in the middle. It has been a race to the bottom by the print and broadcasters under the threat of digital media.

I read the guardian but don't click on any of their football reports. If they didn't have a sports desk I'd probably help fund them but I am certainly not doing so whilst they employ the likes of Jamie Jackson and the others whose names I am not going to mention.

Not for me thanks.

That is why the bizarre anti-Arab, pro-establishment groupthink of its sports desk is both puzzling and depressing

It is also strange that the Guardian seems comfortable with what is essentially a racist narrative against "Arab owners." For example it routinely allows racist comments about our owner and presumably now the Newcastle owners on its website. It is very pro-Palestine and anti-Israel which is predictable for a left-wing newspaper but it is very selective about human rights issues. It is a Groupthink situation.

Its a utter rag, with the likes of David Conn spewing his endless lies about our club. The sooner it becomes extinct the better.

any paper that lies about this cannot be trusted, they know the truth & choose to lie. How you can you then be sure of what you read?
