Well, there's a fortuitous phone call. Just got a call on the landline from the DT wanting Mrs Ewing to extend her sub, and I told him that the webpage sports section was a disgrace! He said he would pass it on! He might well do, but nowt will change. These hacks want clicks, and more freebies from Anfield 'n the Swamp than Prince Andrew ever got off Epstein.

This is the full Telegraph sports page. I think we are joint 22nd, just below Williams F1 team possibly removing a logo from their new car, and conveniently just next to a headline misquoting Trent Alexander-Arnold to make his comments a dig at City.

I'm normally very anti-paranoia on these things, but I do think the Telegraph front page is a bit too blatant? Like you said, every other outlet has the result as one of their biggest stories and The Telegraph has us in 21st position, 3 pages down? Something's going on there.
 
Does anyone know how we went on last night (or if indeed we actually played? nowadays, my memory isn't what it used to be and I may have got my dates mixed up..)

I've been trawling through that 'Hyperion' of newsprint that is the 'Daily Mail' and its interweb-thingy site to find some information on my beloved City but I've got as far as 14 articles (8 on some team called 'Manchester United', 4 on another set of johnnies called 'PSG' and 2 further articles on other, already covered football subjects) and, frankly, had to give up trying, plum-tuckered-out as I'm an Old Git not used to such strenuous activity..

Perhaps one of you younger bucks on here might have the stamina to find out and let me know how The Citizens got on, as I say, if indeed we did play last night? Most kind!

I don't know. I'm not even clicking on that lying piece of Brexit shit. But if the conclusion is "they hate City" or whatever else let's just say I'm not buying it. The thread is full of comments that "the media is ignoring City" when my snapshot on google indicated that to be nonsense.

Look again. We aren't the main or second story on The Times, The Guardian, The Mirror or The Independent. I checked The Mail and The Express, and we aren't even mentioned on their sports pages.

There is no paranoia, this is the sad truth.

Although I read the comments and what others have posted the media doesn’t bother me as much now they just want us to go away and everything return to rags or red scousers being top dog,one thing I will say is if we had lost last night we’d absolutely have been top billing in the media,sad as it is I want us to win the champions league to stick it too these cnuts who will be collectively praying we don’t…

Main story on The Guardian. Can't be bothered rechecking the others. Maybe they order the stories according to what pages the rqeader has previously been clicking on?

They have to given an impression that their owners are not state owned by a Gulf state, who have pumped lots of petrol dollars into sport, whilst abusing human rights on their own patch as these workers work their balls off to get Qatar ready for the biggest sports washing of all - a World Cup.
It makes me wonder how they have bought, oops l mean attracted such support from the media that there is hardly ever a murmur of criticism.

Personally is a really important choice thing

If I choose to pay for Netflix then I either accept the crap shows I don’t watch or put up with the advertising that always comes directly or indirectly from these things

The point I decide there is too much crap shows and too much shit advertising is when I decide that I don’t want Netflix anymore and stop paying. Maybe move to a competitor for a bit. (You know that whole market economics thingy )

i am certainly NOT risking going to jail because of that.

The concept of state run TV has ran its course that’s all. People are just catching up in some places
