Ian Herbert as always been a ****.
Just literally broken the record for most goals scored in a calendar year.
Bitter chump.
Imagine having a job where you have to accurately report on the standard of football in the PL and then pass your impartial views onto the public.
Over the past decade football has considerably improved, the bar has never been set higher, the whole ethos of lumping it up to the big man to then feed off knock-downs has all but been extinguished.
Not withstanding the PL, football teams from the Championship to non league have also changed, their playing style now incorporates a more controlled, possession based style of play, incorporating ball retention.
One team were the forbearers of this, one team ripped up the 'how football should be played in England rulebook'.
How people laughed, how they mocked, how they pointed out that not having a 6'4" centre forward and filling your team with 5'6" short arses just wouldn't work in England.
One team lit and carried the beacon for all of this, one team.
The same team that has over the last decade completely dominated English football.
One team that is without doubt head and shoulders above everyone else.
A club and a team that is brilliantly run, managed and supported by a long standing, loyal, knowledgeable fan base.
A team full of likeable players who don't dive, cheat or con the officials but play beautiful, mesmerising football that constantly delivers trophies.
It's a wonderful story of a honest, working class club's rise to the pinnacle of English football from the depths of despair.
As of today, Christmas Day, they proudly sit on top of the PL.
After a decade of success, dare I say they are still the team to beat.
So called journalists like Ian Herbert should hang their heads in shame.
Everyone who knows anything about football knows the score.
People like Herbert deserve no respect because they themselves have no respect for themselves or the position they find themselves in.
Taking their 21 pieces of silver to regurgitate what the red shirted fans want to hear as opposed to sticking their head above the parapet and just reporting things as they are.
The one team in question won't be top forever, that's football and we all understand that.
However, over the last decade the whole media reporting on this team has been overwhelmingly glass half empty at the very best.
The Herbert's of this world should have some self respect, grow a pair and tell the truth for once
It's only a job, you can get another one if you have to but if you do at least your dignity will be intact Mr Herbert.
Oh, the team in question ?
MANCHESTER CITY..!
