I wonder why no-one is kicking up a stink about illegally tapping up our players, but am sure the media will mention it tomorrow..........
Because they aren't

When asked earlier in the season, Guardiola said if a player isn't fully committed and wants to go he can leave, so long as he and his representatives bring an acceptable offer to City
Torres' people will have spoken to Barca with City's knowledge and acceptance

And the Daily United don’t give a sh*t about City.

6 articles about Ragnick.

24(Twenty Four) United related articles.

2 City related articles. 1 about Pep. 1 about City playing Leipzig behind closed door.
Things are changing. Albeit slowly and even slower through certain MSM channels.

They live for today and the time is coming they will be forgotten.

They'll be in tears when we win it again :)

And what of the acceptable offer?

Barca haven't got a pot to piss in, nevermind find 60-70m for Torres.

The media claimed Eddy was at fault for coming so far out of his area and endangering himself. I think Allison Rudd was among these idiots and she's supposed to be a qualified referee.
I remember Neville commentating on that game. Said "the games gone if that's a red"
No matter what ever he says in future that comment will mark him down as an A grade dick forever in my opinion.

It is reported that he has agreed a 5 year deal..... we haven't agreed a fee so how does that happen. He hasn't submitted a transfer request either.
It is tapping up pure and simple just like they were doing with sterling.
You agree a fee first. Offering him 250k a week is one thing but then offering us 30 mil is another.

Torres' people have been contacted by/been in contact with Barcelona
It's been made very clear that he wants to go back to Spain
This is the leverage Barcelona are trying to use, however, City hold all the cards here. We're not a selling club and Torres is contracted for four more years
it's not a dissimilar situation to Sane

It isn't "tapping up"
City will have told Torres he can leave as long as there is an acceptable fee and that his people have to find the deal
I'll have a search to see if I can find Guardiola's exact quote

Edit. Here it is and it was an article on Laporte

Juventus and Real Madrid have shown interest in Laporte over recent months but there remains uncertainty as to whether Europe’s top clubs can finance a deal at City’s valuation.

Guardiola has admitted that the club told ‘three or four’ stars, who were unhappy with game time, to bring offers from elsewhere to them.

As I remember, the reason for them claiming it was not a red card offence was that "mane had every right to go for that ball", and this was a phrase I heard repeatedly from the media.

I never heard that phrase in relation to van dykes injury by pickford though..........funny, as it was the same cronies moaning about it.

How about players exercise caution regards endangering opponents, flying through the air out of control with your foot at head height shows a lack of caution, but no one dared suggest that from a dipper player.

As we are (mostly) all aware, the footy media are not frightened of being hypocrites, far from it in fact, just take a look at most of what is written about us. Their desperation to show us in a bad light usurps any dignity they may have once had.
Good call. There is no dignity when your whole premise is about clicks.

I'm not sure this is what we should want to happen.
The over exposure they receive in relation to their on field failures is one of life's great pleasures.

Spain forward Ferran Torres, 21, has asked to leave Manchester City and has an agreement in place over a five-year contract with Barcelona. (Mundo Deportivo - in Spanish)

I wonder where they are finding all this cash?
It's one of two comments about Barca in the BBC Gossip column yesterday. The first was about their 'agreement' to sign Torres. Immediately next to it was another paragraph from the Barca Presidents claining that the club had no cash and needed to sell before they could buy new players.

Just how are they going to finance a €60 million deal for Torres?

They’re not. It is just posturing, keeping the club in the news, appeasing the fans, being a bunch of twats basically.

I think the offers he was talking about probably included a transfer fee, not just how much wages they could get.

They’ve been taking some advice from Angelini and they are going to offer to pay half his wages for two seasons with an option to buy him for £50,000 at the end.

That second comment wasn't there when I got that post but oddly I was just about to post it now.
As they followed on from each other and I was pretty much going to type what you did yourself.

If you have no money stop tapping up players you skint ex big club cunts.

Barcelona have held talks with Manchester City about signing Spain forward Ferran Torres, 21, in January. Torres has scored nine goals and provided three assists in 28 Premier League games for City. (ESPN)
However, Barca president Joan Laporta says the club's financial position means they cannot make any signings as things stand. (Marca)
