They’ll be enough American owners soon to dictate the premier league rules!

Seems the fa love the yanks
The only positive to this is that it is another club to challenge the top four which is good for competition and pushes the Rags down the pecking order. It also confirms how important football (soccer!) is in the US at the moment. The growth of interest over there is huge (both PL and the MLS). After last night's victory in their conference title NYCFC are poised to become US Champions for the first time. That is good news for CFG which, in the short term at least, is good news for City. However I do fear that one day in the future our beautiful game could be taken over totally by the Americans and NYCFC may be more important to CFG than MCFC.

The Rag's have been courting the 'power of the press' since around 1958. There was a bit of a lull in the early 80's but a massive resurgence since the Piscan took over.

And everything else suffers at the expense of keeping their profile at such ridiculous levels .

Brand placement I believe is the expression used in commercial /advertising circles

They’ll be happy to stay in the premier and reap the rewards not push the established top teams. History of American owners is they coming in for the easy money! American owners don’t put there own money in they get loans and stick the club on as collateral just like the new Burnley owner! Oh and if Burnley go down don’t come straight back up they will be in serious trouble!

The English fans turned round the attempt to form a Super League in 48 hours. If the Yanks try to interfere with the rules they'll get the same response.

We're in the 3rd round of the FA Cup for the first time in many, many years and have the BBC mentioned that? No they haven't, the bastards.

Incidentally, I would quite like to get United at Old Trafford than City at the Etihad because the revenue for us would be bigger because they will force their season-ticket holders to buy a ticket and, more importantly, we might beat them.

Not about just a super league it’s rules in the premier they can change like with sponsorships or reducing the premier to 18 teams also having only two teams relegated! Or reducing foreign players! The main issue is if we get 14 owners in cahoots they can change the rules to suit.

Yes all over the reds and then when he was talking about the Colchester result in the FA Cup he said they'd be hoping for Liverpool or Man Utd 8n the next round not the current Prem Champs or even the European Champs FFS
So Colly would be guaranteed some share of TV rights? It used to be small clubs wanting an away fixture at a big ground for a good share of the receipts. I'm not sure what happens with gate receipts in the cup. I definitely remember how United.and others changed league receipt allocation to get more money, money, money.
Bastards.

As far as I know the gate receipts are shared evenly and each gets just over a third ... the home team, the away team and the FA.

This mornings Times' football supplement 'The Game' has Ralfie on the cover , with the words "The Power of the Press" oh the Irony!
Is that the power of the press in getting rid of Ole to get the worlds most famous unknown in?
