The DT this morning bemoans the fact that the 'thunderbastard' from outside the area is a dead art, and the same with bullet headers, as is the pinpoint cross from probably as far away as the halfway line. To illustrate the point they have Shearer powering one in although we don't see the ball, a clutch of defenders, or the goal, but we do see Dickie Dunne looking up to the heavens with a plaintive look on his face, clad in the elegant Eidos kit! And the pinpoint crosses as a specialism? Ah, well, it could only be the Wolfman of Leytonstone with a graphic that has used the month's supply of red ink. But down at the bottom of the graphic is the culprit for spoiling the essence of the 'English' game - none other than Barca's favourite son! I would say that you couldn't make up these reports, but it's another example of a newspaper article becoming a 'story'! But have they seen goals from de Bruyne from outside the area or the one Rodri got the other week? Probably not! And I saw a handful of bullet headers from the FArce Cup games. Yer have to laugh!

Not to mention Armstrong's goal in the cup.

Something in the daily fail first headline “grealish drunk in Manchester bar” didn’t bother to tap on it.

Not sure about that Ged. Technically you may be right but Halifax was a defining moment for many of us who were Citt daft teenagers. I think the litmus test is do you think back to the Bury result and bang your head repeatedly against a table or the Halifax one?

Yep, def Halifax for me but that is probably is an age thing.

Aside on the subject of 'banging your head against the table' throughout the years: I sometimes wonder what it would have been like watching the 37/38 season!

Had an email to win pl tickets from Barclays. I've opted for manchester united v liverpool on 09 April at the Etihad stadium. FFS. It was the only City choice, couple of one's for Burnley, villa the swamp etc. Twats!
