I’m sure that a Tory government reeling from the loss of Russian money will start putting the squeeze on Middle East funds in football and elsewhere. Mentioning Newcastle and City (City especially) in the same breath as Chelsea is whataboutery of the highest calibre.

I’d expect more of this over the coming weeks as USA owned clubs smell an opportunity to rid the premier league of certain types of foreign money.
Slight edit.

Stone being a dick as usual going on about prospective managers going 'due diligence' on future employers.
I'm sure all the rags managers did their research into the Glazers ways of taking money out of the club and of course what attitude will they take if Russia invades Ukraine.
The man's an utter clown. No sensible questions to ask so he talks bollocks. The City PR team should just cut him short..
Fuckinell what a ****. Most Managers don't last 5 minutes cos they are shite, are paid handsomely and get a huge pay off.

In fact some Managers have made a career out of failure with regular sackings and pay offs.

They're all coming out now trying to link the Chelsea story to City and the Mags!

Desperate!

Have any of them linked the American owned Clubs yet as being a problem for the English game?

Interesting that if the British government or the FA decided to restrict or even strip Saudi or UAE owners of their assets, it would be the equivalent of theft given there is no reason to sanction them. Given that they are friends of people in very high places, I'm sure the British government would be more than happy to risk a blockade of Middle Eastern oil and lack of support from the region as a consequence of giving Stone, Delooney and a Burnley fan what they want.

Its absolute nonsense backward thinking. In their own little world, Chelsea has been punished specfically for football ownership reasons, rather than it being one of a lot of companies all treated the same by most of the West.

The stupid thing is, there’s far more likely to be sanctions on the Glazers asserts as they are constantly on dodgy ground financially. I’d imagine their UK contribution to HMRC being below what it should be is a far more scenario than The UAE waging war on the west.

I see the "Wah..... Wah.... its not fair" brigade are out again.
Trying in some way, any way to link City with what Chelsea's owner is guilty of smells like opportunistic self interest to me.
Wanting money out of football by the fan of a club just taken over in a mega millions deal by a yank owner.
Pathetic really. As one of the hateful 8 I hope they go down.

Lawro's latest 'star guest'......no me neither but, seems he'll be a City fan shortly and chases bits of silver.

ArrDee was born in Brighton and grew up a Manchester United fan - well, kind of - but it was Chelsea who won him over when a schoolfriend sparked his interest in football.

"It's funny because my old man always gives me stick about this - he has always been United through and through," Arrdee told BBC Sport.

I would describe the relationship with the UK as in decline because the UK is in decline as a world power. It does not make any sense for the UAE to continue this relationship. It will just die.
This makes a lot of sense and may explain why the UAE and India took a neutral stance in the initial UN vote to condemn Russia. It is clear that the UK's spehere of influence is declining and the present crisis has really confirmed that in my view. That said I don't believe for one minute that Sheikh Mansour has any significant influence on UAE foreign policy. He has a ceremonial role with no decision-making powers in the Government.

Saudi and the UAE have been our biggest allies in the fight against extremist terrorists. That's why NATO (especially the UK, US, and France) are backing the Yemen government in the civil war. This seems too difficult to understand for the moronic football hacks.
I am not saying the Yemen conflict is a just cause (I don't know) but it can't be compared with what is happening in Ukraine. And to stress again City are not and never have been owned by a state. Not even the crooks at UEFA have claimed that.

I only tune in to the press conferences to see the visible loathing Pep has for Stone.
I wonder if.any other PL manager will get asked the same rambling questions.
The simple thing is not to deal with any question which is not directly connected with City and their next match.

Yet again the muen, as last week, their online article headline about chelsea states Manchester united and Man City; firstly C comes before u alphabetically, and secondly why do they get the full name and we don’t? Especially as half the muppet cunts who support them refer to them as man u. Cunts
100 percent agree with everything you've said, absolutely pathetic from a so called local paper. Shows why we call it the MUEN.

Good old Migs spreading his lies about our ownership on Talksport, interestingly Andy Jacobs wasn't for having his great football reset theory, Jacobs also poured scorn on Syed's attack on Chelsea fans calling them unpaid Russian bots but Syed has got form for that kind of bollocks as we well know.
