Apparently we have had 'expensively assembled squads'.
I didn't know this until I read the bbc shite about todays match.
And my wife's insists we help pay for this crap.

Don't you love a coordinated attack on our club!

After red mardarse neville warned our owners to watch our backs, the sheep in the media are slowly jumping on the bandwagon.

I'm sure it's all to do with this documentary airing tomorrow on mardarse TV, guaranteed this time next week nobody will be remotely bothered about sheikh Mansour meeting Assad.

Let them vent their spleen and embarrass themselves, it won't be the first time will it!

Report in Sunday Times says that City’s owner is pictured meeting Assad. I thought we were state owned. Wish the media would make their fucking minds up.

FA Cup day might be a good time to remind the media why UAE acts like it does if they can’t be arsed looking at a map or google a few facts.

UAE are like a conference team playing a premier team with far bigger resources, I’m surprised they don’t remind others.

Basically it’s in the middle of a powder keg of nations & it’s fvking tiny, rich but tiny. We are talking a country the size of Ireland stuck between Iran & Saudi who are controlled by Russia & USA.

It must be frightening, every day you could be attacked & the ones you hope will protect just might not give a shit (Ukraine)

And the BBC reported that the USA were disappointed that the UAE met with Assad
So is that BBC report bollocks, or did the USA oppose the proposal at the UN?
The Americans aren't going to come out and say they support meeting with Assad after all they have said and done, but I am pretty sure they are happy someone else is doing it and hoping something comes out of it to give the world an exit from the Syrian disaster. All the while tut-tutting themselves, of course. It's called diplomacy.

The Sunday ToryGraph is the same. Where there's no money sloshing about we are owned by the Good Sheikh; when the money is tippling out of the MCFC chequebook for the next 250-goal striker we are state owned. It's the default for the RDAHMeedya!

That pic of our leader is part of a UN backed initiative to bring peace to Syria and the Middle East

Journalists condemning it are basically using an attempt at peace to score points

Had a read / scan through it and couldn't see anything suggesting that the UN had called specifically for these meetings or arranged them - hopefully i just didn't see it

Not wanting to disrespect our owner, but meeting him on a state visit is pretty much like coming over here and meeting Prince Edward. It’s a courtesy, but it’ll be other meetings where things get done.

clearly they wanted it reported & known & maybe that’s what he’s there for.

City winning world peace ……

Would that be the EMIRATES FA Cup of which you speak? Questions should be raised in the House.

The Sryian issue hasn't gone away, just pushed to the back pages. Some of the Arab world are trying to take respeonsibility for the situation.

MOHAMED ISSA ABUSHAHAB (United Arab Emirates) said providing humanitarian aid is a moral imperative and relief to the Syrian people should be a matter of consensus, especially in light of the Assistant Secretary-General’s report that 14.6 million people are in need. The water crisis is one of the most critical challenges, especially for those who depend on the Alouk water station and who reside in Al-Bab. He emphasized the need for relevant parties in Syria to cooperate to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches those in need, citing the resumption of cross-line delivery of aid over the past few months. On the political situation, he welcomed the agreement of the two parties to convene the seventh session of the Constitutional Committee on 21 March. As Syria is an Arab country and its stability is linked to the stability of the region, he called for rejecting foreign interference in Syrian affairs and an increased Arab role.

That's the documentary about the ESL and how greed/money has ruined the game I presume? Which is being aired on Sky? Whose injection of money directly caused the explosion of greed and the increasing financial divide in the game, which led to the ESL being set up?

They really don't do irony at Sky do they?

I know, unbelievable isn't it!

The documentary is about the super league fiasco, will be interesting to see how they paint us in a different light compared to the others.

And I presume it was put together before Russia invaded Ukraine!
