Our Nat on Colin Murray defending Messi against Pat Nevins argument that Maradona is the best Argentinian player ever.

I mention this only because Nevin puts Merlin up there with them. Saying "Sir David Silva" is the greatest player he's watched live.

Mr Nevin will no doubt be summoned to his BBC boss to be formally warned for eulogising a City player.

Danny Scouse Murphy talking sh*te on Talk Shite.

Signing for the ‘Reds’.

I wonder if Murphy is on the same agency books as Bellingham.

Nevin always knows his stuff, one of the few worth listening to
Can see a lot of his game in David tbf and he played in the same team as throwback monsters like Doug Rougvie

Just because you willingly publish somebody else’s defamatory statement doesn’t necessarily indemnify you from defamation

Agreed but I’m sure if you ask people how they viewed the article, the majority would say that City are cheating. I believe that’s the intention but it’s not defamation, just a good old fashioned hatchet job.
After being educated on bluemoon I’ve recently started reading Noam Chomsky books, I know only 50 years late to the party.

I’ve just picked up Nevins biography, someone I’ve always admired. I’d imagine a player who would blossom in the modern game.

He must’ve been jealous watching David being trusted by a visionary coach to play in centre midfield instead of being marginalised to the wing, like himself and so many of his talented peers, Waddle etc

My thoughts exactly. Although the mud would have been knee deep in the centre ;)
