I think Pep's apology to slippy today was proper shithousery, if I caused distress to his family lol, go on Pep
Probably already mentioned (haven’t read back) it sounded like he was doubling down on the Levy quotes to me, whilst apologising to slippy, after all the squealing in the press from Levy loyalists, either way I thought it was classic shithousery from Pep

If today couldn’t get any worse for the Football media red shirts shills on the Media thread, I give you……

Imagine what the headlines will be like on Friday. It really is scary what these f*cking red shirts shills come up with and write.
Deary, deary me.. 'R Soul' of a (so-called) journalist and 'R Soul' of a club..

“Over the course of his career he has represented clients including Topshop owner Sir Philip Green; Shamima Begum, the teenager who ran away to join Islamic State; and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.”

Can’t for the life of me see an agenda here. They’re just reporting the facts, for goodness’ sake: his clients have included a scumbag capitalist, a traitor, an ex-PM who’s not very popular any more, and a Premier League football club.

Debbie Purdy and Gina Miller however do not quite sit into the agenda of this piece, so these former clients of Lord Pannick less easily painted as out-and-out wrong ‘uns have been omitted, for reasons of space.

Point being, Lord Pannick KC is a hired gun. He’s not been hired by City because all the clients he chooses to defend are folk we believe are innocent, or folk we believe have a case against the government, or because he was at York away, but because he’s good at what he does. If this thicko on a football fan forum can see that, why can’t the national news medium of record?

The article has been written by one of the beebs politico's as he's a peer. Your critisms re the selection of Pannicks previous clients is spot on.

Just a bit irritating that the state funded national broadcaster finds it increasingly difficult to report factually on a relatively staid, niche subject such as the legal wranglings over football finance.

In other news everything we reported at the World Cup is bullshit as the Qataris might be taking over stretford. Plus ca change as they don't say in ligue un.
