Nearing the end of their pitiful performance in Madrid the commentators starting talking about how difficult it will be for them to compete financially to rebuild.
Who started this narrative that the Dippers are some little club who've been performing beyond their means for the last few years?
That clown Jose Enrique was at it yesterday on 5 live.
Dipper fan Rick Edwards (breakfast show host) interviewing him about the defeat and Carragher's comments that the Dip needed to replace Terence Trent Darby at fullback.
Enrique disagreed and said 'he's been the best fullback in the world. Yeah I know he struggles defensively....'

I just laughed and turned it off at that point.
And that's media perception. Because of clowns like Enrique they make them out to be plucky underdogs with a very, very limited amount of cash who give youth a chance and turn em in to 'world stars'.

Harvey Elliott (Fulham) and Bajetic (Celta Vigo) were apparently playing on the streets of Toxteth when they were signed.

They've replaced the belief utd and fergie for picked up players from the streets of Salford.
