Now I dont usually get worked up about media coverage, but within 10 minutes of the final whistle, that Delaney bloke has already posted an article in his rag, moaning about the disparity in finances between us and Bayern. Not between us and a bottom of the league team, but us and BAYERN. Seriously?
Had 2 pieces written and posted the one according to the outcome of the game

Maybe due to the financial disparity between the Bundesliga & the Premier league.

I’m sure he said the same when Bayern played the Dippers……..what no?

A pointless irrelevant person preaching his tedious agenda and lies to the converted. Its so predictable no one listens anymore.

Delaney just wants to maintain the status quo where the beloved teams in red maintain their dominance. He never comes up with any serious proposal to change this.

And with added mind blowing hypocrisy he doesnt address the issue of who owns the newspaper he works for and he had no issue with going to the last World Cup

A fearless journalist he is not.

RTE open with a montage of the final we lost with Tuchel celebrating to the song wrecking ball.
I didn't see the opening but I thought Shay Given and Richie Sadlier (surprisingly) were fairly decent and fair in their analysis.
Presenter (Darragh Moloney?) was unprepared and wholly unprofessional. Not knowing about Dickov's goal v Gillingham and openly giving vent to his wishful thinking about Pep leaving City soon were particularly embarrassing moments for him.
The irish commentary rte was 'underwhelming'. Bayern shot themselves in the foot was their verdict. The co commentator must have been a rag, he hardly gave us any credit.

Ronnie Whelan on co-commentary, was his usual bitterly begrudging self.

(After the Madrid exit last year, he kept saying "this City team have no bottle". Wonder if he'd have liked to revise that opinion when Gundo put away the third v Villa).
