no way he is paid anything remotely like that much

Haha, £300k a year?

He will be on £70k a year tops - even a sports ed would be lucky to be pushing £250k a year these days.

I know guys at The Sun on £30k a year and get a fancy digital editor title.

Those salaries don't exist, outside of for someone like Martin Samuel, who is closer to £700k a year after his move to the Times.

I was in Budapest a few weeks back and got talking to some Hamburg fans who weirdly had an affinity to Bayern Munich. They were giving it ‘how can you support City with Arab owners’, they seem to have short memories at Hamburg that they were sponsored by Emirates, apparently taking Arab sponsorship money is different to Arab owners in their eyes. Weirdos.
Fuck hamburg.

Bilds ratings are laughable to say the least

As far as I can make out the lines about 'passion' etc, are not a misquote from Bild, it's just made up. But Bild does report that Bellingham doesn't want to go to City or Chelsea. (Doesn't mean it's true, obviously).

That’s a load of rubbish. Players don’t talk about “money clubs” and “soulless”. That’s for idiot fans. In any case I believe he wants to come to City and why wouldn’t he? We are the first choice club in Europe for all players now.

The Bild is not my German paper of choice, to say the least. I was just sharing the source material for anyone interested in the story about Bellingham, which I agree is bullshit.
