The media is awash with more stories today on Liverpool dropping out of the race to sign Bellingham. My personal favourite is Andy Hunter in ‘The Guardian’, who has always, does what you could only describe as a fan column for Liverpool FC.

My favourite part - ‘It would have been a summer like no other for Fenway Sports Group had they beaten Europe’s richest clubs to Jude Bellingham and committed in excess of £200m to one Liverpool transfer’

Where the hell did he pull that figure from? No one is paying near £200M! Oh that’s right, he’s done that thing. He’s included an £80M+ wage fee over a 5 year period, in his transfer fee! Which can only mean one thing baby! Welcome to Manchester City!

They're at least 3⁄4 of the way to that with Nunez for Gods sake, why wouldn't they go all the way to a committed £200m for someone at least halfway decent?

Because he's told them he's no intention of going there? (Even though he's a boyhood Liverpool fan and has Kenny Dalglish duvet covers)

Facts get in the way of a good click bait story. Bullshit and conjecture on the other hand…
One major positive of Open AI and the likes of Chat GPT is at least the wankers won’t be getting a salary from their bile in the near future. Delaney and co can go back to something more suitable to their limited talents like stacking shelves.
That's all I need, the likes of Jamie Paradise making sure his books are on prominent display and Delooney arguing with turnips in the vegetable aisle every time I visit Tesco.

He certainly plays City Bingo. I'm not really sure what his conclusion is trying to say other than 'everyone should be worried'. He falls short of claiming we are state owned but flies pretty close to the wind at times. He also tells downright lies about the atmosphere at the Etihad on Tuesday evening. Maybe he just watched it on telly.

He is complimentary with barbs laid all over the place. Is he one of the regulars at Pep's press conferences. I havent heard his name being called?

But then this is not an organic kind of sporting success, a success or a style that expresses anything from the ground. It is instead a top-down version of how to win, imposed by the will of a sovereign state, driven by extreme administrative competence, freed from the usual human failings, greed, lust for glory, with a bolt on internal culture road-tested in Catalonia, in a new-build former municipal stadium, producing a deeply alluring kind of planned perfection.

You know City are on a good run when the Fail comes out with their annual oh look at those grotesque City players wealth, let's photo them in their cars on the way to training, and put the price on for each car. Absolute trash journalism which should not be allowed to be published in any publication. I hope they do the same to every other clubs players turning up to work in their clapped out Ford Fiestas, no of course they won't

Erm.....Fuck all wrong with clapped out Ford Fiestas. :)

Given the amount of stuff Delaney either doesn't understand or gets completely wrong, I wouldn't want him stacking shelves in my local supermarket.

You'd never find anything and if you pointed out to him that he'd put a palette full of eggs in the Confectionery aisle, he'd just bluster that it was you who didn't understand what an egg was.

Must say, though, big Erl just needs a Stetson hat to go with his white Rolls. Did like Eddie's orange McLaren, very low key '-)))
