My thoughts exactly. I'm sure they wish it just go away. They've haven't sat on this bullshit for 4 years because they believe they have a case.

I have spoken to enough club execs who have no skin in this game and wish the whole thing would just die a death.

Certainly since the Super League conspiracy.
 
Common sense tells me this is the most likely scenario, and ironically, the way it’s being reported will probably speed that process up.

I certainly agree with this. The more it is mentioned, the more the process will have to speeded up.

Unless, of course, City want it hard and slow because that is the route to victory.
 
So why didn't Masters just tell the Red Shirts to fuck off??? The lobbyists may well be powerful, but this is a multi-billion £ industry, and to damage the product is just shooting themselves in the foot. For all their shithousery over the last decade, they've not really been successful because it hasn't stopped us winning things.

Masters is in their pocket. To a wider extent, so is the Premier League.

Certain clubs have always believed they are the only currency for selling the TV rights.
